Well either way, we can agree that it's a ripoff of something. Between that and Captain Syrup ze pirate, I wonder if they're all like that. It'd be like a less blatant Sonichu where the "antagonists" such as Carl are the only vaguely original characters...

That hideous smug ... giant nosed whatever isn't supposed to be the world's most badly drawn cheetah?

Well shit, I even did an attempt to "improve" the design that just falls even more flat on its face now!

(nothing amazing but I got a new tablet and breaking it in a bit, new surface so it's friction-y, ect. Should get better soon, a lot easier on the hand though, should be able to doodle shit more now!)
I like it a lot though. It's not pissing me off with that obnoxious smug look he draws every single one of his damn characters with.

When I was at the record store, we had plenty of "free" giveaways that you had to fulfill some kind of prerequesite for, usually a purchase, but sometimes a preorder. How much you wanna bet that was the case with this demo disk?

Also, just because you preorder a title doesn't mean you have to take it. I dunno if GS makes you put down a deposit, but damn, even if they did, you'd think he'd just pre-order the game, get the demo disk, then cancel his preorder for a refund.

What a dipshit.
Are you suggesting that Dobson should rake his brain to find an easy, quick and convenient solution to a non-problem? Dude, what would he be complaining about on Twitter if he ever did that?
That's the magic of Dobson. He's always a couple years behind the cool kids. Back around 2000, a lot of people thought webcomics were the future of comics... so Dobson waited until everyone gave up on them to start his own. Web animation was a big deal before streaming video came along, and Dobson was late to that party as well. Twitter, Patreon, podcasting - he always manages to jump on the bandwagon just after everyone else gets sick of it.

You know that episode of Freaks and Geeks where the kid wears a leisure suit to school in an attempt to be cool, but everyone just makes fun of him? That happens to Dobson a couple times a year.
I can add another: shallow egoistical SJW shenanigans.

Why do you have a reaction gif folder?
You know what folders I have on my phone, pictures of friends, family, pets, vacations,, my garden, nights out, and other fun stuff.

Oh, right, "friends" and "fun" and "nights out" wouldn't be something Dobby has or does.

HEY APPLE! Do something for meeeeee!

What the hell is he talking about, I've sent the occasional gif to people through text.
I mean, they aren't animated in your phone's album, but they do work in the message.
But using reaction gifs outside of Tumblr? as a response to someone you're texting? And I thought chat speak was lazy.

Me too, Dobby can't figure out how to use his phone, therefore it's Apple's fault.

That's because

it's a rather obvious marsupilami knockoff for reasons unfathomable

I'm surprised I still remember that guy.

I'm not surprised however by Dobby's lack of originality.

I can imagine Dobby texting you with a sassy .gif reply because you don't agree with him. His belief that Apple cares is really weird. He has the habits of a man 20 years older than him and someone 20 years younger than him.

Maybe they don't work if you try and post them to Twitter? I mean we haven't seen any evidence lately of him having local friends he might want to iMessage.

I can somewhat relate to that problem.
There's a lot of reaction images I wish I could be posting now in response to this incredibly inane tweet but the mods won't let me.

Now, how long has it been since he last uploaded a real comic page, not just skyrim fanwanking or a "Here's a thing that happened and my blue bear standing in front of a gradient or empty background commenting in a single-speech-bubble manner" image?

Don't know if anyone else spotted this-

Dobson went and colour coded his characters sexuality. His description- (bold highlights are mine)

With the ending to Korra requiring the creators step up to their blogs to confirm Asami and Korra's relationship, I felt that it might be a good idea to explicitly show my character's sexual orientations to avoid any misunderstandings too.

Atea (far right) is very openly gay. One of my regrets is that I haven't written her as a more complex character and instead have relied heavily on gay stereotypes. A practice I'm hoping to stop going forward.

Talus (the furry beaver looking dude) is Asexual. He has literally no sexual interests what-so-ever.

Alex Ze Pirate (with the awesome guns) is bisexual. I've actually had this in mind for a LONG time now. One of the earliest ideas was to have a romantic love triangle for her. Who does she choose? Sam the boy or Atea the girl? It was a dynamic I hadn't seen much of. Sadly my earlier writing didn't really play that up much and now I hate the idea of love triangles. So the chances of me going back to that plot line are slim at best. But I still like the idea that Alex is bi, especially since Bi representation is so often overlooked.

Sam (the shirtless dude) is straight. I couldn't tell if the posts about a heterosexual flag were genuine, but I decided to go with it anyway. In case you don't know, the heterosexual flag is literally just black and white stripes (sometimes depicted with shades of grey). Boring and ugly, but I think I made it work.

I have no words. I'm done

Dobson broke me.

Carbon stereotypes all of them. Not one single creative thought in his head. I don't even know what else to say right now. Really insulting shit and it would have been even more insulting if he had tried adding black stereotypes on the gay character on the far right too.

I've waded through the entire sluthate and forum and not felt like this.

I've been visually violated.

Why doesn't he just draw them with their sexual orientations tattooed on their foreheads?

Why is Alex's outfit just a slightly more drab version of Atea's? Why can't bisexuals have their own unique colour scheme? Does he think bisexuality is just a half-arsed version of heterosexuality - and if so, isn't that bi erasure?

If he's so plugged in re: gender issues, wouldn't he know whether or not the "heterosexual flag" is real? (Spoiler - it's not) And why can't he mention heterosexuality without mentioning how drab and boring it (sorry, the flag) is.

SO MANY QUESTIONS

Seriously though, what a stupid idea. Does he really think every gay character is going to go around dressed as a rainbow? I don't know a single gay person in real life who would do that outside of a night at a gay club or a pride parade (and many not even then).

The really sad thing is that he is basically explicitly admitting that these characters' most important characteristics are their sexuality. He makes a half-arsed admission that Atea has no personality outside of being a lesbian (true), but how the fuck does giving her LESBIAN CLOTHES to go with her LESBIAN KICK help that?

Oh and of course the one male character is the straight one. Quel surprise. Chalk about another piece of evidence for Dobby's lesbian fetish.
