Alot of people are banging on about rye toast for breakfast. Is this a new England Yankee thing? I can sort of see Rye bread for breakfast considering how cold it gets up there. Down here its usually biscuits or white bread.
 
hear me out for this, stouffer's chipped beef on some toast or sometimes just regular bread, with salt and pepper for breakfast, its good. but you cant go wrong with sausage, biscuits, and gravy whether homemade or sometimes bob evans

Never seen that at a diner, but SOS is good stuff.

I do agree with you, wish you could get sos at a diner. I've tried esskay chipped beef, its not as good as the stouffer's (as in the lasagna/microwave or oven meal brand) chipped beef. Weird thing about the esskay chipped beef is that its sold in bags

Everyone does sausage gravy on biscuits but it's not the same. Dad made a mean SOS, always looked forward to when he made it.

Corned beef hash made fresh is good too. Lots of diners do it and use corned beef for sandwiches too.
