Some new danger hair is dragging up that minion's fucking flavor text every six months anyway. The thing's been in the game for just under a decade; no one cares that you got bored, actually read some flavor text, and realized Urianger got weird and depressed when his not-girlfriend died. There are worse ways to grieve. Nobody remembers Moenbryda either.

I see it as a mark of honor when I do so much DPS I pull aggro away from tanks.

Seriously though I have no clue how people lose aggro, every tank has multiple AoE's and ranged options, of that gem goes orange hit it with a ranged attack and boom, done.

Once I tag a pack, I sprint to quickly grab the next pack so that everything can be positioned by the time the rest of the party shows up. If some glue eater decides to burst one of the mobs at the back of the pull, then there's no way for me to maintain aggro and also keep up the momentum. Doing a ranged aggro GCD in the middle of a pull also breaks momentum because they only have a range of like 15y so I invariably have to backtrack to pick up the stragglers.

Of course these days I just let the DPS eat shit if they pick up aggro like this. Bursting during pull instead of during AoE is shitter behavior anyway and I'd rather see them ragequit.

Yeah this isn’t the first time I have seen someone bitch about that minion’s flavor text, i remember unfollowing a FFXIV gimmick account on Tumblr I used to find funny when they made a thread about it on the OF and begged their followers to reply to it.

Damn it, FF! Keeping the trend going of sidelining/removing all the characters I like or give a fuck about, while sticking me with characters I couldn't care any less about. I don't even remember blonde monk-chick's name, but all through Stormblood (or at least the desert bits; haven't played in over a year and REALLY didn't care for those sections) all I was thinking was how little of a shit I cared about her, and wondering why the story was focusing on her of all people for those bits.

If anything, it should've focused on black dude the whole time. With her as the focus it felt...forced? Weird? Out of place? Or is that just me?

I feel like literally everyone involved with Ala Mhigo contributed to why Stormblood was a drag. Gyr Abania was such a disappointing region, especially considering how it'd been hyped up for years. Taking it back from Garlemald should've been a far more engaging thing than it ended up being.

But Lyse was especially fucking awful.

I cannot sympathize to them, like they brought themselves misery.

It actually continues after that to 24 pages, with nothing relevant added to conversation, other than someone mentioning that only harm to real world sharks could come if people follow through a plan in some other thread about recreating every in-game recipe as close as possible.

I managed to make a friend give the game another shot. I streamed the Ifrit, Titan and Garuda fights on extreme difficulty for him to watch and it got him hyped.

I also tried to kill Twintania for 4 hours with several different groups but something always went wrong in the last phase. Healers and DPS dying to twisters, me getting 1 shot by the Dreadknights, tanks losing aggro to the boss for some reason...

Yesterday we went into the Gold Saucer together for the first time. It was great. We played TT, we got confused by Mahjong, we did a jumping puzzle and entered the lottery. I just hope he can finally find his own way to have fun with the game or set some goals to work towards.

Are the Shb relic weapons finished now? I'm at the Zandor farming phase for the 6 items dropped by the FATES and CEs. I thought it was 15 of each but I think it's actually 30 of each so fuck my life.

I preferred Eureka as it felt as close to FFXI as FFXIV is going to get but, all things considered this isn't awful either. The zones are at least busy with players for now.

Yea, they're completed. Luckily, that step you're doing is A) one time, and B) Can also be done by spamming raids instead of Zadnor farming. If you're already Mettle Rank 25, might be faster to just spam out the raids to just get it done. After that step, you'll get the quest that's the repeatable one if you do other relics which is get 15x of an item either via the Zadnor raid (3x drop), Delubrum Reginae (2x drop) or from any Stormblood 70 dungeon (1x drop. Spam Hell's Kier for quick 12 minute runs, the fastest way probably).

I've never taken the time to actually max out classes, as I'd played exclusively tanks for the longest time. I'm spending the time leveling up classes to max level in order to figure out my favored classes.

Barely been playing these last few days, but I'm leveling PLD right now...which is hard, as I don't really enjoy tanking.

Didn't complete the relic, got in a group for Castrum once which failed, haven't been in another because the damn thing never pops while I'm in Bozja and I cba to wait for it to pop up.
