Trying to get my account back now. I got a new phone since the last time I played and like a retard I didn't transfer my authenticator for the game. Itching to play my RDM and MCH again.
 
Fuck mages, if you want to pull shit play tank and stop wasting my time. Why is it always the mages that try to play DPS tank? Like fuck i can't count how many times my group wipes because some fucking shit-brianed mage thinks they are gods at the game.
 
Reminds me of that run in DR when one tank left and the other was too retarded to turn his stance on, the one who was tanking was a BLM, it made my experience worse since I had to heal him and I was the only healer in the group.
 
I had a recent uber shit Holminster switch run where it was me (WAR), BLM, SAM and a WHM

The SAM never AoE-d, the WHM used Cure 1 and Cure 2 exclusively, the BLM stuck to leylines like glue even in AoEs during bosses and we wiped to the final boss 9 times

First time the WHM and the SAM didnt DPS the binding mechanic when it struck the BLM, causing him to die, and then the WHM got smacked by the boss' punches twice in a row

2nd, 3rd, 4th and so on, all of them the WHM and a DPS died to punches

The 6th to 9th wipe, was WHM dying to the final mechanic where you have to run around it

The dipshit WHM went "ok last try coz im angy" and by a pure fucking miracle we got through and killed boss

I decided to level my WAR from 70-80 in Bozja instead
 
Just saw this: Translated clip of Yoshida once again addressing the matter of using ACT and other third party tools in-game.

TL;DW: He says don't do it, but they have no way of tracking what you use on your PC and they're not going to go hunting to find out who's using third party tools or who isn't. But if the team was ever forced to have to crack down on the use of third party tools, don't be surprised if you get in trouble for using things like ACT. Third party tools are to be considered personal risk, personal use only. It's also considered violation of ToS to post logs, or use posted logs, to harass another player for their performance.

I'm tired of e-celebs and social media in general. It really does feel like that if you can't have a huge amount of likes/followers/subscribers, whatever you do doesn't matter at all and your existence is liking the posts of e-celebs. Maybe you get to actually exist for 2 seconds if you give the streamer 50 bucks.

This influx of e-celebs into FFXIV has been very tiring.

Are you trying to distinguish yourself in the public sphere or something? Because, otherwise, who the fuck cares?

Celebs gonna celeb. Doesn't affect me or my gameplay one bit outside of occasional longer load times and login queues.

It's more of a commentary on how I feel social media is a waste of time, how social media lately has been a show of these grandiose statements, and how many around me are trying hard to "become" relevant.
 
I see it as a mark of honor when I do so much DPS I pull aggro away from tanks.

Seriously though I have no clue how people lose aggro, every tank has multiple AoE's and ranged options, of that gem goes orange hit it with a ranged attack and boom, done.

As I've previously complained about, I've only ever had that be a problem during wall-to-wall pulls when I'm not able to sit in one place and spam my AoE to constantly maintain aggro. I just do a quick AoE tag to get everything hitting me as I run to the next trash mob. When a DPS bursts hard enough, especially when the run to the next mob is particularly lengthy, there's a high chance I'll start dropping threat to one or more things and I'll either have to turn back and re-establish it or hope the idiot that big dicked too hard mid-pull is smart enough to at least drag the mobs back over to me.

GCD is the biggest bitch in that department. If you GCD between my 2.4 seconds, then I can't do shit for at least another second or two. Plus, the way XIV seems to handle AoE damage application is jank as fuck, I feel like. In particularly large mobs, the damage seems to apply in sets at a time and not all at once.
 
AOE damage applies on mob at a time, actually.
Much like if a boss AOEs the party, you can sometimes actually ese the damage rolling down the party list.
Useful if you need to pull a clear out of your ass when you're wiping on the last AOE, and the boss is at 0.1% with a bunch of DOTs applied.

Sarcastic remarks aside, if you’re referring to the blizzard debacle going on in those previous statements, I don’t really know what you were expecting. Anyone versed in social media drama, such as myself who has seen this happen like clockwork, knew from the word go that people were going to fish for validation. Not saying that you couldn’t but things have been like this for over a decade and a half.
