Goddammit, this reboot is already ruining the original show-- oh, I'm sorry, the sanitized marketing product that prettied everything up and made the characters look like good people for the sake of making a quick buck-- for me. When I see those scenes, I can't help but feel it's all fake. Utonium doesn't actually love the girls. He's only pretending to love the girls so he can make money. This isn't how he actually feels! They're actually just disposable to him! He prettied them up and made them all look good so he can make money!

I can understand where you are coming from.

In the zeitgeist known as pop culture the PPGs will always be thought of as three year olds, and just because the CW script says they 20 something doesn't mean we all think of them as 20 something. We think of them as we always thought of them as three year olds.

The CW script is trying to bastardize, ruin, and hurt the Image of PPG, but the person who wrote it forgot one thing.

At the risk of sounding like a weenie, the way they treat Bubbles in the script is kind of gross.
In addition to the slut thing, there was a were focus on her cutesy act and calling Utonium daddy (She called him Professor in the original show).
I hope they don’t go after Bubbles like the 2016 version went after Blossom...

The villainous Professor can only be white, period, in this, the current year of Our Lord. They can’t recast because that would be penalizing a deserving POC to benefit a privileged white actor. The character development for the girls entirely hinges on shitty childhoods which can only be attributable to the Professor, so Catch 22.
