I finally finished Stormblood proper and it was... alright. Nothing hit quite as hard as Heavensward in terms of big revelations and character deaths/conversations although I enjoyed Gosetsu and his antics. I almost forgot about the Ala mhigo Liberation until Hien brought it up after we basically destroyed Doma Castle

For those who have BiS for crafters, do you use a NQ set for the stat gain and then make a HQ set? Or just skip the hassle and buy a set of the MB?

No, we just make the HQ stuff right off the bat. As we complete pieces, we put them on and pentameld them as neccessary. Tbh, new crafting stuff is only better than your fully pentamelded stuff by a small margin. But the majority of time the new stuff can be crafted with whatever you have on now, granted that you're fully pentamelded with eveything, your gear is all HQ and you're using HQ crafting food and syrup.

Ala Mhigo is pretty much the forgettable part of SB anyway. You aren't missing much.
