This all happened over Roll20 and Discord, and they all blend together a bit without screencaps. Anyway, grab some popcorn, this will be a bit long.
- As mentioned, it was the usual menagerie of troons, furries and SJWs.
- Every group had at least one obvious tranny, one of the groups was basically 4 trannies (including the ST), one "enby", and me. This group was surprisingly well-behaved, although someone being called a "she" instead of a "they" caused some friction.
- Most troons didn't even make an attempt to pass. One of them did, but he had the squeakiest, fakest falsetto voice in the world. I kind of felt bad for that one.
- There was an even 3-way split between anime girl avatars, furry avatars and pony avatars, with a 50% chance of any given one having either the trans flag colors, or the flag itself in the background. There were only two exceptions: one had a photo of a female Japanese model, the other had the flag of Croatia (???).
- The furries were, as expected, incredibly obnoxious and horny on main. As I mentioned, two of them were adamant about playing Lupus characters against the ST's advice (the chronicles were meant to be 90% urban) and had links to the Bad Dragon store in their characters' bios. They were in different games, and yes I can confirm they were unrelated people.
- Another furry spammed worgen porn in the #character-images channel, saying it was all "inspiration".
- I'm pretty sure the ST of one of the games was a gore fetishist. At least one of the players looked like one as well. I can't confirm because I left the moment I saw the first disemboweled naked anime girl in the server's image channel. I'm usually not squeamish, but I noped the fuck out of there.
- The Uktena player in one of the games was adamant that only First Nations players be allowed to play Uktena or Wendigo, and he (preferred pronouns: they/them) also referred to them exclusively as Older Brother and Younger Brother no matter how much it confused other players. I'm 100% certain that he's 1/16th native at most because he also posted a selfie and in that selfie he looked paler than me. (PL: I'm of Scottish/Manx ancestry and I cultivate a healthy office tan.)
- At least one of the furry trannies was definitely into watersports, talking at length about how his character "marked her territory". And yes, that "she" character had a dick. And no, she was not Lupus, she was Homid.
- I saw two people who I was pretty sure were natal women, not troons. One was ultra-woke and spent most of the time making smug jokes towards me, asking who had "let me in". The other was "non-binary" and claimed male pronouns but sounded (and looked, according to her selfies on twitter) like a very squeaky-voiced tomboy.
- All the Black Furies were lesbians, no exception.
- Two of the games outright forbid playing as Get of Fenris. A third "heavily discouraged" Get, Shadow Lords and Silver Fangs, under penalty of receiving less XP.
- One of the games had 8 (!) players signed up for it, and I was the only one planning to make a Garou. 3 were making Bastet characters (one legit asked the ST if they could partially transform to have cat ears and tail in Homid form), 2 were making ISO-standard trickster Corax characters, and the final 2 were furries who were trying to play as their fursonas (a Mokole and a Gurahl).
- One of the troons was completely obsessed with the idea of "mouthfeel", and wanted to play as a transgender Child of Gaia.
- I was "playfully" threatened with rape by the ST of one of the games when I suggested I'd make a male character since the pack was shaping up to be all-female.
- To their credit, two of the STs looked like they were trying to run a sane game, but they were constantly frustrated by the players being uncooperative and threatening to quit every time they heard a "no".
- One of the games nearly fell apart due to a split between Bernie Bros and the rest. I have no idea what caused it, and I'm sure the game fell apart for good shortly after I left.
- (Last edit, I swear) One of the players was European (British or Dutch, I don't remember) and insisted we play in the early mornings, despite everybody else in the group being American. In the ST's defense, he said "fuck that!" to that demand, which triggered a massive spergout from the Eurotrash.
That's all I can remember off the top of my head, and it's not all in chronological order. Again, this all happened between only
five games I joined and then left. The longest I lasted in one of them before quitting was three weeks (the game hadn't started as I was the only one with a character sheet filled in by then), and the shortest was just a couple of hours (that was the goremonglers' server). I would say about a third of the players seemed relatively chill, or at least were mostly quiet and didn't trip any red flags, but the other two thirds more than made up for in with
their insanity.
So yeah. That was my experience trying to pan for gold in the open sewer that was publicly-advertised W20 games in early 2020. Thank you for coming to my TARD Talk.
ETA, the final
final edit: I should mention that four out of the five groups were operating out of already-established Discord servers with more people in the userlist than just the players. I tried to keep my report restricted to mentioning users I knew had signed up to the games, but I may have misattributed one or two things other people in the servers did.
