I've gotten the third achievement for running however many Delburums and I have yet to get a mount or hair or anything besides chess pieces

Never played except some fucking around on a trial account, are raid/party/group sizes comparable to their WoW equivalents? A couple of tanks, handful of healers, rest dps?

Also which starting job/class is enjoyable to do solo stuff as and can become a good healer for group content?

4-man for dungeons, 8 for raids, 32 for megaraids with a ratio for 2 dps for each tank and healer

The only healer class you can get at the very beginning is Conjurer, while the Scholar class is a healing branch of Arcanist which you can unlock at level 30, though despite being a ranged magical dps class on paper Arcanist does get a healing and resurrection spell before the branching off point. I don't really have personal experience with them but from what I can see the main difference is that as a Scholar you get a pet fairy that will passively heal people around you as you're doing your own thing.

Yeah, Arcanist is the best starter class. My first job was BLM and it was a pain in the ass to learn.

Actually 24 for the biggest common raids, with each set of eight having 1 tank, 2 healers, and 5 dps.

For your starting class, Arcanist is definitely the best choice. It's the only starting class with two versions of it's advanced class, one healer, one dps, so you can switch between them freely.

From most scholars (the healer-arcanist) what I hear the most is that it's got a button for every situation.

The having a button or everything bit is held back by probably having the least involved rotation while having to deal with 14’s iffy pets, and SMN is incredibly punishing if you have to get rezzed.

SMN has the longest rotation I think. 2+ minutes for two different damage phases. I find MNK easier with its 90 second rotation despite having 6 positional moves.

So I just started the second relic quest. The catman wants me to collect memories from FATEs.
Kill me now
ohohoh, oh man, wait till you start the Law relics.

do you guys feel like this expansion has been... Kinda shit? I dont remember being this bored on SB.
Sure, the plot was terrible and most characters were unlikeable, but at least the trials and raids were good. This is the first time since 3.1 that I just cant be assed to clear an EX trial nor do the savage tier.

Or maybe I'm just bored of the game.

Oh boy I can’t wait to be emotionally drained again.

On serious note, I think the initial main quest 5.0 is fine, an upgrade from Stromblood.
I think they tried to prop Zenos as the main villain again even though he’s boring as fuck.
Fandaniel didn’t help either because of that piece of shit Asahi.

Honestly, this is the first time I’ve been assed or able to seriously do either of those things while it’s relevant content.

I think it’s partially because they’ve exchanged more content for QoL improvements, which can leave the actual Shadowbringers stuff feeling shallow. It doesn’t help that later ShB things rely more on past content than current, such as the memories of the dying.

even bozja, which has some notable improvements over eureka, doesn’t feel like it’s progressing much. Partially because delubrum reginae doesn’t affect the main of bozja much.

Ehh, I'd the next expansion a fair shake. Stormblood was good content wise, but the game still had some fundamental issues that needed to be ironed out. Also the pandemic, which became a mandatory thing to work from home in Japan, kind screwed up a lot of development on the expansion. Yeah the expansion has been pretty meh, but I can't really fault squeenix because working from home on a video game is way easier said than done.

I'll fault them for Bozja however because that bit of content feels so inconsequential.
