I WAS gonna make a mini-rant on the difference between pin-ups , sexual fantasies, and how I really see nothing wrong with both IMO (albeit keep the nitty-gritty to a minimum if you wanna discuss it out in public); but the way he managed to clash both of his statements and cancel each other out is so stupid, I think my brain broke trying to figure it all out with my own personal opinions (and everyone else's).

^THIS, albeit he thinks he's too smug for the Internet, when in reality it's what's made him the giant lol/sadcow that he is today. All thanks to his massively inflated ego (pun definitely intended).

A male character was raped (and worse) in season 3. I could totally be forgetting other cases. Also, the books have plenty of men being raped. People are only having this problem with the show now that some awful abuse has happened to a woman. It happened twice in season 3 and once in season 4. All three times, tumblr threw tantrums about Game of Thrones, and how they all were dropping it and how it was truly awful misogynistic garbage, yadayadayada. This recent complaint at least has more merit since the scene isn't in the book and its poorly written tripe besides, but these people never make a peep about the content beyond when crap like this happens, despite keeping perfectly tight lipped about said male rape. These people also never seem to address how both ASoIaF and GoT showcase horrific uses of caste systems and class structures, illustrating the powerful preying on the weak. Its all very much pro-equal rights for everyone.

Dobson wouldn't know that , though. He's too busy following people on twitter learning how he's supposed to feel about issues, instead of, you know...actually being informed on a topic of discussion. I get really irritated when I see people do this, and Dobson does it all the time.

I get the feeling that if he did, he'd make it so self depreciating that he'd still find a way to be smug about it.

If he's talking about comic books it's kind of ridiculous since many superheroes have idealised bodies and run around wearing skin tight clothes so it's obvious the creators are using sex appeal to sell their comics.

I think it's a weird choice for the writers to put extra rapes in the GoT TV show, given how much rape is already in the books, but whatever. I don't watch shows if I don't like them. Somebody asked Gaby Dunn to comment, whereas nobody asked Dobbers.

I've not read the books but I looked it up and apparently it was more consensual there but the problem is the character is 13 in the books and 17 on the show at the time which is still a minor in parts of America so maybe the creator of the show didnt want to look like they were promoting adults having sex with minors?

He does draw smug facial expressions better than any other artist I've seen. Too bad that's not a marketable skill.

I would have thought with the more avant garde direction that his show on FX took for like the past few seasons that he'd be more open to him but that's beside the point and he really came out with an edgy SNL monologue the other night. I've even seen the subreddit for the show and it's filled with people who look into it that much.

But as I said, Dobson hates anyone more talented than his sorry ass so I wasn't surprised.
 
If somebody says you hurt them, you don't get to say they didn't... but you do get to say you don't care, like one A. Dobson did with one teenage lesbian who said he was a creeper.

I'm not really that familiar with how a Patreon account works other than the fact that people will give you money for almost literally anything even if you waste your time BAWWWing about stupid things nobody cares about rather than deliver what you promise on a consistent basis.

That said, can't you post art you post to your Patreon account first to say your DeviantArt account immediately after? If Dobby Bear was a legitimate artist who actually cared enough about his craft and his fans, I could see maybe him doing exclusive art for subscribers/regular donors and then later release it to DA after a certain amount of time has passed. Since he's made it crystal clear that he doesn't care about either however, I don't see the point in him taking his sweet time to upload Patreon exclusive art to his DA.

They're just upset because it was a sweet innocent character who's already been through a lot.

It's kind of sad that in a world with Doug Stanhope in it, anything Louis C.K. says is considered edgy.
