I’ll bet you his answer will be something vague about “working a job” and stream in his free time. As if a 30$ an hour job will just happen to fall into the lap of a guy who has few qualifications and haven’t worked for decades.


He must know deep inside that it won’t happen and that he’s most likely fucked.

Which is why he’s such an unhappy bitter man. He’s stuck doing what he hates because he has no alternatives, and tries to ride it out for as long as possible before the unavoidable collapse.

I think he knows that's bullshit, this is the guy who also insists he's held down by the world because he wasn't born rich and with the right friends. How will he get these jobs as a hermit who has the worst following on the Internet? \

If its a public-facing job, it would be only a matter of time before someone recognizes him (IT'S THE GUY). He would most likely choose something in the off-hours (security, janitorial, etc). There's also call-centers, but Phil isn't technical nor does he have customer service skills. Lastly, there's the off-chance someone will hire him just for the novelty, like some retro game store.

I think we know an honest job is an absolute last resort for him and that he's capable of dishonesty if it sustains his status quo. He'll explore every other option. I think he'll find his way to eligibility for disability payments before he looks for a jahb that he thinks is beneath him. If by that time he owns his khando outright (and there's no assets test for welfare), and Khet/the next soul maid has some income, then perhaps he thinks that would be enough for him to get by.

It's a bold strategy, cotton. Let's see if it pays off for him.

All transactions with customers would have to be through debit/credit and you'd need IP cameras in key areas to monitor him.
 
(I’m about 30+ pages behind and skimming this through the amazing “next highlight” feature so this may have been addressed BUT)
