Okay, I did find this pic for comparison from last year where he talked about Atlanta's MomoCon:

and I think I can see it, if just barely. His voice, however, sounds like you can't pinpoint an ethnicity at all. Maybe he was just raised differently, but I dunno, you can't hear much of an accent or anything that makes you think "He doesn't sound white", weird as that is.

(Quickly listening to the podcast in the link, he mentions that having a deep voice gets you pigeon-holed into being villains because evil sounds deep, but he enjoys playing the villain. Actually a fun listen, very charismatic. If only he was in more Funimation dubs, but he's more in video games and radio than anime. I'd say the further away he stays from Funimation, the better.)
