There's nothing wrong with that (unless you're Chris), but that's not good enough for the Tumblrites. In Tumblr-Land, a guy can't wear dresses and still be a guy; it makes him a "demigirl" or some such shit. For all of their talk about destroying gender roles, they sure do think gender defines your entire identity.
There's fucking poetry in that post. It's "The Tumblr Gender Issue" in a nutshell:
Regardless of what they claim, the tumblrkids aren't about "breaking down boundaries". Ohhhhh no. What they want is a new set of strict boundaries that favor them, and them alone. It's not about acceptance, it's about shifting bigotry and hate to flow in the opposite direction. And they are honestly baffled as to why cis people (the overwhelming majority) won't ally themselves with that cause.

ngl I'm addicted to the little fish thing on the top of their Tumblr.

On topic: I don't watch SU and probably never will, but from what I gather, this supposed trans character HAS TO BE trans because he's moody? isn't being a moody teen just puberty?
It seemed like it was because he's one of those "douchebag because he's insecure" characters - so isn't that kind of insulting, too, saying "he's insecure so that means he's trans"? I got the impression that the guy wanted to be a cool kid, not a different gender.

It's pretty clear. There's an entire episode about Lars trying to fit in. He doesn't. Not because he is trans, but because he is trying too hard.

I watch the show too. In fact, I fucking LOVE the show. However, I stay as far away as possible from the Tumblr fandom because of their ceaseless and moronic anger at the crew when they make the slightest misstep to disturb their hugbox.

Also, if you're a guy on tumblr, you're already dead in their eyes. And if you're completely comfortable being a guy and only like girls? Watch out...
There's a reason they invented the term "transmisogyny". "Transphobia" already exists, but that includes those dang dirty trans men. So they invented a term to exclude trans men, which they see as a goodra woman who has the audacity to reject femininity for masculinity. Since femininity is glorified to the point of being supremacist, being a trans man is a grievous sin. Try bringing up "transmisandry", which would be the flip side of that, and watch them lose their shit and insist there's no such thing.

ew you watch the show?
A lot of people here watch the show. It's a very good show; it's the Tumblr fandom that's bad. That's why this thread is called "Steven Universe Fandom". We're not here to judge people for liking a show, we're here to talk about the assholes who, unfortunately, make up the majority of the fandom.

And sadly, it is the majority it seems. The fandom that is off Tumblr isn't the greatest either.

I don't think he cares. He's just trying to push buttons.

It still means you are a part of the bloody fandom. That's like me saying "I like Animaniacs, but the fandom is shit, so I don't relate with it."

There are degrees. Most casual fans don't participate in the side of fandoms that include fanfiction, art, shipping, posting fan theories, buying tons of merch, etc. They're a part of the fandom, true, but they're not in the core of the fandom, which is where the people we talk about in this thread are.

Animaniacs online fandom in the 90's was pretty shit.
