So the war seems to be heating up. Cecil and Malin against WarCampaign.

Ethan's trying to keep out of it but if it continues he will have to chose a side.

Will he chose the super fans or the creators?

My guess is that he's trying to guess which will cost him less fans and dollars but the rumor has always been that WarCampaign has something over Ethan that he can't let see the light of day.

Could be bullshit. Or maybe not.

My money is on Ethan sticking with WC at great financial cost.

Either way this is starting to look like a massive implosion.

Is it still ComicsGate if Ethan walks away? Does WarCampaign become Anti-CG if Ethan backs Malin and Cecil? Will the factions refund each others books on mass as retaliation? Does anyone actually believe that Cecil is straight?!‽‽‽‽

How did that even happen? His channel blowing up, that is. On the few occasions the algorithm played me one of his videos before I told it to never recommend TUG again, all I heard was a rambling man with a voice and cadence that immediately makes you want to do anything but continue listening to him. And when I say rambling, I mean he introduced, but often forgot to get to the point he stole from the previous night's Lawsplaining

Daily, low effort content on the dovetails of a big youtuber.
He was covering everything Zack was covering and he was suggestedby the algorithm to a lot of Zack's followers.
He did a lot of IDW videos, running their numbers, had clickbait titles, there were too few videosback then (Zack was doing his stuff, EVS was busy with FM livestreams, JSG did a video a week) him, YF, Douglas Ernst were the daily CG videos.
Then he jumped on the kickvic stuff, cried harassment and the rest is history...

That is nice, but I meant just a simple pyramid with names assorted in some hierarchical order in terms of crowdfunding ability. That way when we look at the names we can try and figure out who will backstab who to ascend to the next rung of the pyramid. Even the former CG creators names in red as causalities would be a nice touch.

Particularly with "Pencils Down" most of the ones I'm encountering are in complete and utter bliss about how they have an undeniable victory over "muh woke books", which seems like it would make the topic of the wheels falling off of the alleged alternative more relevant.

But Caesar wasn't having any of it. Panboy complied very sullenly, but wanted to make sure Caesar knew he loved him. Cecil appeared in the chat to snicker at what biiiig trouble Panboy and Ro were in now.

Then Ro Kabir showed up full of sugar and adrenaline and started dancing around for Ethan's amusement while going on every tangent possible to avoid the topic of conversation - the rebellion that was crushed 10 minutes in - while Ethan waited for him to tucker himself out. Once finished, Ro once again affirmed the values of Comicsgate friendship and unity against the SJWs and promised to continue buying Cecil and Malin's books and to replace Jon Malin's portrait on the Human Cecilpede back to "Man of Sex" (even thought it was already commissioned).

Huh, would have expected something like that to come from CG spergs since they're the ones hitting the crowdfunding scene hard. Crowdfunding won't save the industry, sure some will float to the top and make a healthy living from it, hell some of them might even be a few who managed to use the success to get into stores, but longterm, the reach is far too limited and the price point is gonna push out a lot of people compared to what you get in brick and mortar stores. This situation with "Pencils Down" and the shut down will most likely force companies to reconsider the quality of books they decide to greenlight to avoid another situation like this, but that hole definitely won't be filled with crowdfunded comics.

I would just like to note that Pan asked the Frogman if they need to have a standard for books, and the Frogman outright said no. Yeah Ethan, that's because you have no formal education on storytelling and your art has it's own faults you won't admit to, that's why you can't vouch for quality. Then WHY would anyone come to CG for books? I might as well draw a turd on every page and sell it and still call myself an artist.

EDIT: I'd also just like to note that this is one of Ethan's techniques to either gaslight people or shut down criticisms: When he says "So we agree" or "So you actually agree with me". No Eehee, you're hearing the words, but you don't listen to the subtext of what they're actually saying. Most people in CG don't actually agree with you.

The same way @FROG uses the words of RCM to have a voice in the CG congregation, Ro is using Ceasar as a means to a personal army.

Ro couldn't even take over Liam's show without the stroke Ethan's endorsement gives him.

But if Ethan Back stabbed Ro then Rohan would most likely go to the nuclear option because he'd have nothing to lose.

He'd take EVS down with him.
