Comicsgate Hangers-On and Drama Whores - A thread about some guy who's mad about Star Wars and the neckbeards obsessively stalking him

J. Ishiro Finney (left quietly after Rome) and Durakken should be in red,

Richard C Meyer, Von Klaus (a Pocket Jacks fan who is working on Martina "Queen of Warcampaign" Markota's project) and Billy Tucci should be in yellow.
Dan Fraga should be placed somewhere in there.
Gary Shipman is a wholesome man of God and D&Q, should be removed.

That is nice, but I meant just a simple pyramid with names assorted in some hierarchical order in terms of crowdfunding ability. That way when we look at the names we can try and figure out who will backstab who to ascend to the next rung of the pyramid. Even the former CG creators names in red as causalities would be a nice touch.

For example:

TOP TIER: (Campaigns in excess of $200,000 - multiple six figures.)
Ethan VanSciver, Richard C Meyer, Doug TenNapel

HIGH TIER: (Campaigns over $100,000 - six figure club)
Mitch Breitweiser, Jon Malin, Cecil, Raging Golden Eagle, TUG, Kyle Ritter,
Mike S Miller,

MID TIER: (Campaigns between $30,000-$100,000)
Billy Tucci, Antonio Brice, Von Klaus,
Timothy Lim, Cal Jameson, Art Thibert, Jeff Hicks, Ben Henderson, Martina Markova, Karl O Rowe, Keung Lee, Donal Delay, Warcampaign, Cridious, Sweetcast, Eric Weathers, Doug Ernst, Narwhal, Vinne Tartamella, Andrew Huerta, Jon Del Arroz, Elliot Fernandez

LOW TIER: (Campaigns between $10,000-$30,000)
Professor Geek, Ben Jones, Gilbert Deltrez, Kelsey Shannon, Slick Jimmy, Gary Shipman, Robert Arnold, Indie Dave and Sean Sweeney, Adam Post, Jim Healis, Nasser Rabadi, J. Ishiro Finney, Mandy Summers, James Dean Anderson, Matt Wenger, Micah Curtis, Liam Gray

BOTTOM TIER: (Campaigns less than $10,000)
Jake Bihl, Sean Campbell, Jeff Lafferty, Cody Fernandez, Peter Gilmore, Preston Asevedo, Rick Piper, Jerry Richardson, Jake Campbell, Durraken, Bill Raupp, Rob Cacy

White= Still in Comicsgate

Red= Exiled or left of own accord.

Let me know if I've missed anyone, I'm using the Indiecron site for metrics and names so its not 100% up to date anymore. I'll update with suggestions.

So fellow Kiwi's, lets play Comicsgate deadpool. Who's next on the chopping block and who's going to be the one to take them out?

Place your bets now!
Yeah, I figured, but that came to my mind and I just had to go with it. Like I said it's something that was just kind of done and sitting so when you said what you did it made me remember about it. LOL. I am really not the one to set up one since I really have no clue of full details of CG or the originals. I only got into following last Feb of 2019 (then stopped following around June when I didn't like the shadiness I was seeing in him and some others) "TUG" only out of curiosity and the dealings going on with Vic even though I didn't know much on him either.

So many of those creators have/had late books, it's sad af.

This might help. One of the member's of WC keeps this list updated and posts it. I can't remember who it is,

Fair enough, It can probably work just as well as text than an actual drawn pyramid.

TUG's only showing up because he has a comic he plans on selling, and the only reason he plans on selling a comic is because Youtube's anti-algorithm whore filter has demonetized his Johnny Depp vids by 85%. He's never walked back his loud proclamations from last year that CG was a failed movement full of infighting, ingrate traitors and gayops and that's why he's leaving to join #istandwithvic, only to find lots of gayops in there as well. As Matt thoroughly elaborated this morning, if he even suspects you of gayops he will cut you out of every behind the scenes social circle and communications group and "handle things" secretly in DMs. Because he hates gayops that much.

From what I hear no one does more gay ops than our buddy TUG. The reason he's so paranoid about everyone else fucking with him is because he's collecting intel on and fucking with anyone on any side who shows a weakness. He projects his own behavior on others.

Mail boxes, doxxing and dick pics are the tip of the iceberg.

I heard but have yet to verify that TUG has collected kompromat (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kompromat) on everyone from Caesar to the lowliest of Twitter spergs that crossed his radar.

If the shit on the bottom of your boot had boots you could scrape bits of TUG off of those boots.

That seems like the most logical hierarchy given that EVS (top of the pyramid) almost entirely defines success in terms of monetary reward and thus salvation. How very Lutheran for a Mormon.

Gary Shipman is not aligned with CG. Gary is pure and wholesome.

Garry is the Grandpa of comicsgate (that never 'touched' you)!
Chrono Mechanics is a great idea that's criminally under-rated, but I think he's said that it might get optioned as a kids cartoon, which would be a great idea.

Edits: Changed colors, added more participants, Matt Weldon remains yellow due to working on CG books but also is associated with Tim Lim and the Rags crew.

Seems mostly accurate but I don't think it makes sense to include the "exiled or left". They are now outside the power structure and therefore not part of the pyramid.

Also going strictly by fund raising in my opinion places a few people in the wrong tier of the structure as I think of it more as a power structure than a money pyramid.

Mike Baron, Matt Weldon, and Peter Gilmore should all rank higher than bottom tier for example and Kyle Ritter despite the success of his campaign should rank lower as he seems to have little stroke in the hierarchy but power often translates to money so the layout you have does seem to pretty accurately mirror my estimations despite the fact we look at different metrics.

Holy fuck this is an autistic conversation though!!!! HAHAHAHA!!!!

Good work.

Edit: Also WarCampaign should rank just below Ethan because they have and exercise immense power within the community and some of the bottom feeding YouTube/Twitter cowboys without books like Dark Gift should be included despite not producing books as they are trying to climb over each other to get to the point where they can monetize they're spergery.

Nah, this is a guy who doxed himself against renfamous and got curbstomped by Comic Book Hut, not fucking Professor Moriarty.
Not from lack of trying, I'll grant you.

Hahaha!!!!!!!!

You and I are actually in agreement. I think any success in being a fucking scum bucket TUG has had came down to animal cunning and pure luck.

I wouldn't compare him to Moriarty by any means though I'm sure he flatters himself along those lines while he looks in the mirror flexing with the music turned loud so he can't hear Lola in the next room servicing anyone but him.

Ever since his channel blew up though, he hardly touches CG anymore and never interviews creators.

How did that even happen? His channel blowing up, that is. On the few occasions the algorithm played me one of his videos before I told it to never recommend TUG again, all I heard was a rambling man with a voice and cadence that immediately makes you want to do anything but continue listening to him. And when I say rambling, I mean he introduced, but often forgot to get to the point he stole from the previous night's Lawsplaining

How do you think such a pyramid would look? Obviously Ethan would be the tip, with maybe Malin and Zack directly below him. Underneath that would be mid tier guys like Ben Henderson and Antonio Brice? Then a bunch of nobodies at the very bottom?

Are you thinking of something along the lines of the DSP Detractor Org Chart that was floating around a while back with Mister Metokur near the top, the SoK reporting to Metokur and twitter trolls like .txt and drgnkiller reporting to various SoK members, complete with areas of detracting responsibility?

Before the Vic stuff, he got on the CG radar by correcting Ya Boi Zack's video about IDW's sales numbers(used to do a lot of vids on that sinking ship of a company) and the bog standard stuff about comic pros being dicks, that everyone else in CG was doing. People got a kick out of those videos and Zack recommended him a few times because enjoyed TUG's insight into the company. He got a bigger boost on the Vic stuff because he was one of the first ones to talk about it on youtube with a significant sub count. It was about this point I tapped out because like you said, he was just regurgitating whatever Nick said on his livestreams and I might as well solely watch Nick if he was gonna do that. I don't mind a bit of rambling, since I usually have these vids in the background anyway, but that was just annoying

Yeah I agree its not that accurate since it's based on crowdfunding numbers. Technically Warcampaign probably would be number 2 after Ethan given their influence to destroy creators larger than themselves.

Holy fuck this is an autistic conversation though!!!! HAHAHAHA!!!!

Good work.
I think self-isolation is starting to get to me, I'm making theoretical hierarchy structures on internet based, independent comicbook creators.

I rejoined twitter a few days ago just so I could argue with people and get some human interaction.

What has my life become.

Weeb Wars was the largest growth his channel ever received, I remember when I was still subbed to him his channel was growing at a snails pace. I think it was still around 5K when I unsubbed. I was surprised to see how much his channel had grown talking about Weeb Wars.

I didn't see that chart. To be honest I'm not even sure wtf I'm doing anymore, I think I'm going mad.

Tucci belongs in the high tier. He's an industry pro and talented artist. Shi, which he is actually drawing, pulled in enough money.

Tug always sounds like he's about to cry and the way Preston looks into the camera in his videos makes me feel violated.

If i play two of their videos at the same time and turn up the volume I'm sure I could induce vomiting.

JDA sharing some comic artist pro secrets here. He didn't explain why Dynamite is running Anna and Art Thibert's campaigns though. Could it be because IGG is another service they're offering people who haven't done it and don't know how?

I dunno.

Tucci belongs in the high tier. He's an industry pro and talented artist. Shi, which he is actually drawing, pulled in enough money.

Billy Tucci is a name artist with a long history but then Mike Baron is even bigger by that metric and Chuck Dixon would be higher than Ethan since he had maybe the longest Batman run ever and is the most prolific comic writer in history not to mention creating the biggest new Batman villian in 30 years.

But the pyramid is about having stroke in CG not industry cred. Dixon, Baron and Tucci are all relatively minor players in the CG acqarium. In the real world they are pretty big fish but in the CG pond there are much bigger fish that would be considered minnows IRL.

In the fucked up world of CG Mike Baron and Chuck Dixon, despite being legends, aren't big deal as writers compared to TUG and his vanity project Lovecraftian B&W children's book because TUG has more stroke in the community and it's not about how good your book is.

It's about how many outrage and drama clicks you can get.

Since the day Ethan took over CG has not been about merit.

Tucci isn't playing that game so he ranks lower in CG. Baron and Dixon are the same.

The CG model rewards outrage, ginned up drama and YouTube presence not proffesional merit or quality work.

Ethan isn't at the top because of his undeniably good art or resume. He's at the top because he plays the drama, outrage YouTube game better than everyone else. The comic is icing.

i predict Ethan and Ro will not debate shit, but rather, they will pretty much agree on everything and kiss afterwards.
I predict all this is to get people not to focus on "Daddy's FRAUD". I have this feeling it goes like this "Daddy needs you kids to go outside and beat the fuck out of each other so no one is focused on the FRAUD that Daddy is facing" Do I think they are making up the fights???? Some of it. I think some of it is real shit too.
