I did this the first time I had edamame. I sat there chewing the pod like a cow for like 5 minutes before I was told I wasn't supposed to eat that part.when I first tried a papaya I tried eating it like an apple and threw up almost immediately. I didn't know they were supposed to be peeled.
so what, you just eat them straight up? like an apple?I once met someone who was truly shocked that I didn't peel kiwi before eating them.

I always cut 'em in half and ate the middle bits out with a spoon.
Kiwi skin is integral to the kiwi experience. It has a great texture and flavor.Eating a kiwi skin sounds absolutely horrible and I fucking love kiwi's.
Never eaten a watermelon rind but I guess wouldn't be opposed to it.
Apples, pears, potatoes, peaches, nectarines, apricots all have pretty good skin.
Oranges and grapefruit sound terrible though. I don't think I could do it.
Put zests in the breading of your schnitzel or other meat, thats the trick to make it divine!Citrus peels are fantastic for flavoring things. A lot of the essential oils are in those peels and lemon zest is great atop certain pies and confections.
