I doubt Phil would know who that is and I'm a little surprised he didnt take the cyberbullying / trolling angle here, he just went straight into a tirade about Steve cambian and not even pretending to care that someone necked who Steve also did vids about, just straight into how it affects him

I might be creating mental fiction here, but I specifically remember pigroach talking about Wilcock's suicide at the time it happened and he made some negative comments about Steve, basically blaming him for it and then spiraling off into one of his usual "It's All About Me" tirades. I think it was in response to a chat comment.

I would like to propose the following theory.

Khet watches vtubers and because DSP just sits beside her like an alien on his time off this is where DSP is picking up some new annoying habits and stream ideas.

1. Pack rips. This is a decently big thing in the vtubing community. Certain groups even have booster packs made of cards of the vtubers in their streaming company/group and rip/sell these.

2. Gloves during initial pack openings - vtubers can be quite serious with the kayfabe. They wear gloves to both hide identifying features and to help sell the illusion that they really are their avatar. (Dsp only looks at the end product aNd not the reason behind it)

3. Lego - Building lego / warhammer / gunpla is huge in the vtuber communities. (Art in general, but dsp cant draw or sing)

4. “Thank you, thank you” - The double up, I ‘think’ this originated more in asian countries as a cutesy thing women/girls do. If you listen for it, it seems like he’s going for a softer ending with the second thank you, I hear this specific one regularly from vtubers in response to contributions (and it annoys the shit out of me because I instantly link it to the intentional or not building of parasocial streamer/viewer relationships)
4a. I don’t think this one he is intentionally mimicking, but DSP more than most mirrors the speech patterns of those around him.

5. He did spend years shitting on backgrounds, ring lights, etc. but some time after khet he turned his cam background into the same slop he shit on. (And I half agreed with his old view, only the correct opinion was face cams are retarded, not just the shit in them)

Panda was working at Target until the end, wasn't she? I still remember that cringe selfie he took at a pokeball-painted barrier outside the one where she worked. Even at full time that is not enough to be self sufficient in Seattle without roommates, she just realized how much better life without Phil could be.

Kat's stuck because she is probably too dysfunctional to fit in with her coworkers or even get sympathy for whatever she has going on. Without that connection/social circle the alternative isn't more fun but less money, it's pure downside (lose room/board from Phil in exchange for nothing, at least nothing she can envision).

Let's be real, Cambian's channel is actually bigger (more active unique subscribers) than Phail's dead sub (enormously more duplicate troll subs) channel. I'd bet good money Phail is less than 100k active, real subs now.

I think we should also point out that some of Cobes' trolls DoorDashed him a concerning amount of Everclear in the hopes that he'd kill himself with alcohol poisoning.
I think the DSP subforum sometimes gets a bit too close to the Pigroach at times, but at least nobody ever tried to fucking kill Phil.
