DDoS attacks

Some people are suggesting Brave browser, but didn't they get caught leaking user data on purpose? Also, they've integrated AI sloppa.

Is using a Russian ISP an option? They kind of wipe their ass with Cloudflare, or is this simply not an option?
Per your join date, you weren't here back during the Keffalcaust. Null tried using a Russian DDOS protection service and we only lasted a day or two on it at most. He had to host in China, Hong Kong, register a new site name altogether, and eventually settled on Sao Tome (a tiny shitsplat island nation where our domain is registered to this day).

I cannot do much other than keep sending Kiwi Gold. You've got this, Josh. We, your faithful army of retards, will not abandon you in your hour of need.

Serious question but can you sue cloudflare? I know they're a private company but they are the only ones that provide this service. They're acting like a municipality in some way. I'm not a lawyer so I don't know the real legal specifics, but there must be some legal support somewhere you could get. You know maybe your contact told you about some member in those organizations being a fed asset or something could lean on the feds to quietly reverse the cloud flare thing?
Cloudflare is a giant man-in-the-middle service astroturfed by three letter agencies to bully the entire Internet under one big umbrella that they can serve captchas to and fingerprint relentlessly. It is by design that it is very difficult for smaller communities to stay afloat without it and that no one bats an eye when they get hammered by botnets. I would bet money that glowniggers are either funding or intentionally turning a blind eye to them to force more people to either live under Cloudflare, or not at all.

the site unavailable page is one that's set by the browser when it cannot receive a response from a website.

The forum uses a service worker to display this custom page instead of the browser provided one when it fails to connect.

Hardin’s fundraiser remains active at https://givesendgo.com/defendthefarms
One notable mention in its description is:
Depending on the success of this fundraiser, we may also seek greater relief for the damage caused by #EndKiwiFarms.
Could this imply legal steps against CF down the line?

Ornet Browser works fine if you’re an Applefag
Consider something closer to the Tor Project, which is Onion Browser.

And @monprayer apologies if this is redundant, but is Null aware of your findings?

the site seems to be fine again on clearnet which makes me feel like there is still a chance we can fight this. since i have to imagine if the people doing the attacks had actual unlimited money they would keep going 24/7 or perhaps i am being too optimistic.

And @monprayer apologies if this is redundant, but is Null aware of your findings?
No, I've never spoken with Null. But it the Cloudflare = cat torture connection was common knowledge in the aimao thread. My team investigated it and put together the dossier. Apparently Google has been implicated as well, but I'm not a techie. I'm not qualified enough to go into more detail.

For everybody that thinks Null is a genius, do you remember the time he wanted to make a women's-only forum with ID verification? And his supporters, many you will see here, thought it was a great idea. He literally wanted to make Teaapp before it was a thing. Here's the link to that thread.
It's a good idea. Once it gets the same DDOS attention you have a bunch of women to complain and people actually care when women complain about things.

While I empathize with the plight of this website being the only one in the world unable to enjoy basic Internet services, I can't exactly say that I don't understand the point of view of the rest of the Internet. I can't even say I disagree with them. The "information maximalism" philosophy that governs this website has completely ruined its reputation. Any good it has done by shining a light on pedophiles and politicians, any usefulness it has demonstrated as an aggregate for information on wars, natural disasters, and politics, any joy it has brought people as a discussion forum, as a community, all of that was put at risk by the autistic determination to allow users here to dox random people on the Internet with impunity.

You can go into any thread dedicated to a wider population of people and see KF users doxing people just for the "crime" of using a social media platform that the KF user doesn't like, or for being a fan of an e-celeb that the KF user finds annoying. Yes it's technically legal, yes all of that information was already public somewhere, but all information is public now. Information Security was a rare privilege enjoyed only by a small subset of people in the early 2000s. We rely on Information Obscurity now, the idea that our information is safe only because no one bothers to look for it amidst the deluge of data that exists. It is the act of unearthing and cataloguing that personal information that is the abhorrent slight against civil Internet society. By encouraging the doxing of anyone for any reason, Kiwi Farms does not return its shopping carts. Null knows this. That's why he begged people to stop using the word "dox", and why the site had that entire arc of trying to rehabilitate its image by threatening litigation against its slanderers. He knows that public support and widespread acceptance is the only way that Kiwi Farms survives, and yet for some reason or another, whether Null got wrapped up in trying to deal with technical upkeep or development or he just stopped caring, that effort stopped shortly after it started.

The fact is that people will never accept the Kiwi Farms as long as one of its core tenets is to dox random fucking bystanders with impunity. The site has been hiding behind 1A for most of its existence, but people will kill 1A out of spite just to make this barbaric nigger behavior stop. They're already trying to. Kiwi Farms has been a force of positivity for many people, and an invaluable source of information and discussion for many more, but all of that is in jeopardy because the staff refuse to make concessions on who is a valid target for the autistic retards that populate this site. Null is guilty of the same thing that he chastises archive.org for when they jeopardize the Wayback Machine just to keep digital copies of books, expect Kiwi Farms is going to fall first. People here may not care about the average Internet user, but they need to start caring because it's the average user who decides whether this place lives or dies. And as it stands right now, Kiwi Farms is the Ken McElroy of the Internet, and everyone will breathe a sigh of relief when it's gone.

I'm probably about to get 20 of the "Dumb" trashcans for even suggesting this but any thought of reaching out to Torba at Gab? I don't know what kind of infrastructure he has but I know he's successfully running Gab out of a barn in Pennsylvania. I don't frequent Gab much these days because Torba thought it was a good idea to punish his free users some years back and call them freeloaders before backpedaling after a mass exodus of his userbase. Torba can be a goof but he means well.
Not Dumb, Optimistic. Torba is his own worst enemy, his puritanical Christian nature puts him at odds with just about everyone else in the "freeze peach" space.

Gab was hosted by Epik for a time, but the same sort of pseudo-state actor confidential informants hacked them and leaked everything leading to the collapse of the company and the ousting of the CEO for embezzlement... the CEO who was protecting all his "right-wing clients" from getting deplatformed.

I doubt Gab is literally "run out of a barn in Pennsylvania", they've spent what they have securing space and servers in data centers and building a hosting empire on the side. I don't know how Torba does it; maybe by being more autistic and puritanical than everyone else. I doubt Gab would even entertain the idea of allow Josh to host some front end nodes on their infrastructure, but I guess it'd be worth a shot.

Also you should care less about growing the community and more about maintaining the one you already have. Nothing grows forever except cancer, and focus on growth is a bit influencerbrained.

my impression is that the farms are primarily a gossip forum + a place to shitpost and have fun for majority of the users. At the same time, the issues the forum is facing come from the smaller subset of dedicated users documenting *acrual crimes*. While I respect and support this work, there are other venues to report crimes. And perhaps these two purposes need to be divorced from one another.
The problem is, if the site stayed small with the people it had already pissed off, it would already be dead. Say what you will about places like the Beauty Parlor and the slapfights puritanical weirdos get into with the more shitposty parts of the forum, Null has done a damn good job of attracting like minded communities from other failed sites.

If we could ever get actual credit, the "users documenting actual crimes" group could win some positive PR. Instead we get sloptubers and retarded furries with Netflix connections taking credit for some of the site's sleuths... so, maybe there is a point here, but it's not that the site's users shouldn't investigate horrible people on the internet.

Some foreign country decides to back American discontents to spite the U.S. government. Maybe Russia shares its version of cloudflare. Maybe China hosts a social media site and quietly allows communities with politically-incorrect opinions. Something like TikTok allowing anti-Israel videos.
The problem with this path is that it having a state actor assist your operation opens you up to so many more shenanigans.
If I remember correctly, just using a single Russian Cloudflare alternative (DDOSGuard) after the site was dropped by Cloudflare led to a bunch of additional headaches. Also, support from any "state actor that is not the United States" is likely going to come with strings attached, strings Null opposes on principle (e.g., removal of the "Ho Ho Holocaust" meme).

At a certain point, someone will come to claim responsibility and go on a victory lap. Their egos are to big for them to not do it.
Let them. I'll be here calling them them gay and retarded. They were taking victory laps during the #dropkiwifarms crap even though we were still online making fun of them. Them being objectively wrong will only make ridiculing them even funnier.

The simple reason they want the site gone is because null has a lot of power via this website that many many want. Reputation management is big money and this site has been the biggest thorn in the side of that very lucrative industry for a long time now. It's not about doxxing randoms or the word or any of it. That is just what they think the winning argument will be to take control of this archive of info.

For Android users who haven't used Tor, since Brave (to my knowledge) doesn't have Tor access on mobile, there are Tor browsers made for mobile browsing. You can even get one in the Goygle Play Store that has a decent rating, for whatever that's worth. Point is, there are options and they're pretty easy to make work. Onion link is https://kiwifarmsaaf4t2h7gc3dfc5ojhmqruw2nit3uejrpiagrxeuxiyxcyd.onion/

As far as solving the problem without millions of dollars to mitigate large-scale DDoS, I don't know what would be best besides dividing time between clearnet and Tor as needed, but that may not be tenable with continued escalation of DDoS attacks.

Spreading awareness is necessary, though, and Null's always been pretty good about transparency in terms of the state of the site. If it's possible to definitively pinpoint the source (pedo jeets, zoosadists, troons), maybe users can help. The people who do these things should absolutely be pointed at and mocked in front of as many people on as many sites as possible, if only to make malding retards expend unnecessary energy on sites besides KF. Normies do need to know just how bad things are. If CIs are in on this, then there's no point going to any three-letter agencies about it. The solution may well have to be grassroots unless some Saudi prince is feeling especially generous.

If the issue is indeed jeets, it might be worth it to rope some big-name scambaiters like Jim Browning or Kitboga for something as universally repugnant as AI CP. Tech support scams are their bread and butter, but I know Kitboga, at least, has expanded his repertoire and business and seems to have a deep personal interest in cybersecurity. I know it's a long shot to get most people to acknowledge KF in any way, though.

Ultimately, if no one outside of people who normally follow the site knows, no one can find a potential solution to this issue. KF exemplifies the necessity of free speech, research, and public information to expose truth, reach people across geographic and demographic lines, and engage in free discourse, even if that discourse is sometimes completely retarded. Sorry I'm a brokie though, Jersh. I'd give you a few mil at the drop of a hat if I was a dilettante, but I know well-wishing doesn't fix problems, either.
