Phil couldn't pull off a Jonestown because he would forget he poisoned the kool-aid and drink it himself, causing everyone to have a moment of clarity as he lays twitching on the ground. Even Jayde would get up out of his wheel chair and walk away.
Yes. Phil will never admit to a lie unless he is literally caught on camera (see the Jasper/WWE Champions daily wrap as an example). He will always fall back on the everything being "circumstantial evidence," which he equates to not being evidence at all, so in his mind, every lie he tells has to be accepted as true.
It's probably a result of his social isolation and anxiety, both of which will affect how someone talks.
I wouldn't be surprised if he use Cult tactics to brainwashed his dents into believing his lies and throw him them "dent-ta-roos" at his feet thinking that he's some kind of Messiah figure. Oh hell people are even starting to think that he's actually an alien in a human skin suit, trying to catch a ride on the next passing of Halley's comet.
