ITS SO FUCKING OVER :lossmanjack:

also what the fuck does he think he's going to do? he gets less than 100 viewers when not on overwatch. quitting is unironically irresponsible. how will he provide for his wife's children? job or ebeggar arc? god i hope we get an ebeggar arc. unforced errors every single step of the way.

Since this dude's entire cowdom is based on Overwatch, can we get a primer in the OP? Just from osmosis I know the competitive scene was dead before he started his "journey". I know how stupid that is, but I don't know much about Overwatch.
Here is a question for the thread that I think would be important to the OP:
Say he did succeed 100%, and hell, lets go harder, became the #1 Overwatch pro-player against all odds. How much money would he even be making?
What does the average competitive team make in the US now a days?
What do the top teams/players make?
What does an average player on a team make in their position?
What and when was the peak of Overwatch competitive and what did people make at the top during this period?

I suspect these answers what make the OP alot funnier. I remember even in the hey days of League of Legends alot of the top teams and players that weren't in the top 3 best were on food stamps.

Hero's of the Storm.
shit, that brings back memories. isn't it pretty much dead now? I imagine it would be far easier to snipe him in a game with such a small playerbase, I doubt he'd do it but it would be funny if he did. I think he'll do the minecraft and apex rotation for a bit like when he quit overwatch temporarily a while ago. overwatch is his identity though, he's gonna have a rough time keeping an audience since no one is watching him for his personality. he'd probably have the same problems in valorant. never played it though, does it have better stream snipe protections?

Overwatch originally had The Overwatch League (OWL), which was a pet project of notorious actiblizz CEO Bobby Kotick, who pitched it to investors as the next NBA (yes, really) and it was a really bloated overbudgeted mess (see vid below) that actively hurt the game's development despite most players not giving a fuck about it, but this also meant the average player got a livable wage, which isn't normal for esports. Shortly after the catastrophic launch of Overwatch 2 OWL was shut down and replaced with a shoestring budget version called OWCS that pays much less.

Basically the only people who made a good living out of Overwatch esports are people like XQC who managed to use it as a launchpad to a successful independent streaming career

This would be perfect to be in the OP. This is what i'm talking about, and suspected; its a dude embarking on a quest that has long since past.

I have another question: Isn't Overwatch one of the WORST games to go on an improvement arc because its one of the most skill brutal skill based match making? (As in, its one of the most homostasis match making designed to keep you at your skill level)

yep tight matchmaking because 1 bad player just destroys a lobby in the game, difficult at a high skill level because on top of all the typical shooter fundamentals there's way more team coordination and way more important things going on at a time. He's in a decent position to climb though since he plays tank, which has the most carry potential, and he mains Sigma and Zarya, two fairly easy characters (low aim, hard to kill) who are consistently strong. In terms of rigged matchmaking you can feel there's a little funny business going on, but it's not nearly as egregious as some other games

Put it this way if he took his fundamentals from OW played an easier game with engagement-based matchmaking like Marvel Rivals and just metaslaved on one of the braindead support heroes he'd probably get to the 2nd highest rank

Not IMO, The matchmaker has little to no engagement bait tactics. though it is a team based game, if you're actually more skilled, you will almost certainly have climbed after ~20 games.

Overwatch also has tons of good educational content, Games are fast, and atleast on tank its pretty clear when you made a BAD mistake. Its a great feedback loop for when you actually want to improve.

These contradicting posts should be in the OP. Not as saying either of you are wrong, but just the controversy of the community.
I looked at the OP again, and I still think this game is the key to this cow. Ironically I think he might not maintain the milk going forward if he doesn't pick the right (WRONG!) game.

What do you think he will play next? I'm guessing some other hasbin Blizzard product like Hero's of the Storm.
Valorant is also a likely canidate.
Don't put no disrespect on HotS now okay Blizz did that game dirty to prop up OW pro scene bullshit and suck off China
