He also has a wife and kids to support but instead locked himself in a room to better his life somehow. He has lost weight and got some new lifestyle changes but he's done it in the most useless way possible - livestreaming it 24/7 to a very small audience.
Anyway, it turns out that Skip actually left the room around Day 96 (April 17th) after finding out his mom had a stroke. Here he is a few days later with the update.

Nicky Case is a Singaporean-born Canadian flash developer who has quit making games to focus on being a furry femboy full-time.
If you're into flash games, especially artsy flash games, you've probably played this guy's stuff without knowing it. In 2008, when he was 13, he made the meta flash game :the game:, which is about a featureless stick figure who jumps off of a grass platform and dies forty times. It was witty and polished by flash game standards and grew popular enough for Case to release two sequels.
In 2014, Case started working on Nowhere to Hide, a puzzle game set in a dystopian world where you must always remain in sight of a camera, or you will die. Naturally, he needed to show the camera's field of vision quite clearly, and developed a novel method of communicating which areas were and were not lit to the player. When his crowdfunding campaign started to fail, he wrote a tutorial for the method, which apparently "got way more popular than the game it was promoting." From here there's a shift in his work. A bigshot at Apple invited Case to a workshop, where he met math youtuber Vi Hart, and they together made Parable of the Polygons, a game about the origins of bigotry. To practice writing for his game, Case released a visual novel about his own experiences coming out to his mother as bisexual. In the same year, he crossdressed for the first time and posted it to facebook.
From 2014 on, Case started to behave more like an educator and activist. In 2015, he made Explorable Explanations, a portal for interactive educational tools. In 2016, he made We Become What We Behold, another game about bigotry. This one got really big; lots of youtubers played it, including Markiplier. He went on to make a few more games until 2019, when he made Adventures with Anxiety, another visual novel where you play as some girl's anxiety, which also grew pretty popular and is now featured on lots of websites that emulate flash. That was the last game he ever made.
At this point, you'd be forgiven to think he's not a cow. He's a bit of an oddball lefty troon, but he's put out some fun and impressive browser games. However, at the end of 2019, he released a very long blog post explaining everything he "learned" in each year from 2010 to 2019. In doing so, he publicly released loads of embarrassing information:
Case was raised by a single mother and had a "creepy fascination with knives" when he was 16. He also enjoyed quoting "The God Delusion."
Case dropped out of college almost immediately to found a startup, which obviously failed.

As far as I'm aware, Case has never held a job. After dropping out of college, he survived on savings and freelance gigs. He also held 25% of the money meant for crowdfunding Nowhere to Hide, returning the rest in what he calls a "75% partial refund."
Case lived briefly with a pedophile, who admitted to being a pedophile before Case moved in, and sexually harassed him. One day, on a whim, Case stole a knife from a newsroom where he was interning and approached the pedo's house, planning to murder him, but quit when he decided the knife "wasn't sharp enough." He chose to include this in his blog post against the wishes of everyone he told about it.
In a self-improvement effort, Case adopted a number of habits, including voice feminization training and abstaining from porn. That last one will be relevant later.
Case ends the post by advertising his next project, a tool to help troons sound more like women, which never came out.
After 2019, Case's workload slowed a lot. He wrote a couple articles about covid in 2020, then didn't release a single thing in 2021. Then, in 2022, he put out an animated music video for "The Femboy Hooters Jingle," a song that he also wrote and performed himself. The video had both an SFW and NSFW version and was accessible from the same personal website where he stores his educational tools for children. He drew some accompanying porn, so I guess the whole "no porn" rule is out the window at this point. He also released an album of similar songs called "Cute Gay Nerd." Case already had a pretty strong accent, and his voice feminization is basically just singing in an extreme falsetto, so the album is unlistenable. Suffice to say that people were pretty shocked.
Case presented this as an attempt to "reinvent" himself. He had a new (female) cat persona and he started a Patreon called "The Singing Catgirl." He even uploaded a video of himself programming a VTuber avatar, although to my knowledge, this has never amounted to anything. In fact, this whole rebrand never amounted to anything, because aside from the music video and a few pictured released at the same time, he never released any more porn, and the Patreon is defunct. You might think this is a good thing, but I don't know, it doesn't seem like he regrets doing this so much as he just got lazy. His most recent project is "AI Safety for Flesh Humans," a collaboration with Hack Club (who has their own thread in prospering grounds right now) which is really just a very long blog post. He did do a lot of illustrations for this blog post for teens, all of which are furry comics and some of which have vaguely sexual undertones. This blog post was divided into four posts and took him two years to write.
So that's Nicky Case. A precocious but disturbed child who peaked at 13 and went off the deep end into troondom. I think that he would qualify for a proper thread if not for the fact that he is pretty serious about separating his personal life from his professional life. It's hard to keep up on his day-to-day happenings because he has no social media presence, and his work is so sporadic these days that any thread would run out of content quickly. Still, it's sad to see how a guy I looked up to as a kid was, in reality, raped by the internet.
