Just as we thought, his scam of using every single pokemon in the game in the hopes some retard spends 20$ to name it is backfiring hard in a game that does not hand you EXP on a silver platter unlike the garbage modern Pokèmon games with the Shared EXP. Share. And since he does not know type matchups and old pokèmon games do not have a type chart show up as you select your move...

This game just became Pokèmon Fire Red - Prepare to Die Edition.

Funnily enough, if he only focused his EXP gains on only one Pokèmon (his starter or another one) he would have killed Misty easily. It's literally just the scam that is making his playthrough ten times harder.

Heres the Misty fight to the closing of the game

Watching this is so insane man he has a full team and doesn't even think to really do swapping or anything. Doesn't think (or know) to swap from Pikachu and heal. He spammed heals non stop on Pokemon ZA doing that exact strategy why wouldn't he do it here?

Btw Pikachu is actually really really bad for Misty.
Electric does not resist water type attacks, and Pikachu is so frail and has so little special attack that even with super effective attacks it will barely do any damage to Misty and then just get killed by Water Pulse.

It's better to catch a grass type, not only grass resists water so Water Pulse will do almost no damage, but Oddish/Bellsprout once evolved will probably do more damage too since they have more special attack.

Pikachu without a light ball is just a meme, you should never use it, at least until you can get it to Raichu but even then it's still not that good.

EDIT: Pikachu has base 50 Special Attack, meanwhile Gloom (Oddish Evolution) has 85 Special Attack!
No wonder Pikachu tickles opponents, 50 Sp.A is laughable.

If he was using thunder wave and willing to swap after to drop a heal and play with some strategy he would've been fine but ya Pikachu is not where you want to go for this unless you got some levels. He actually could've had a Nidoking with Mega Punch/Kick and probably just ran over Misty a bit but his EXP is super spread out even with him fighting an obscene amount of battles.

Honestly his YouTube chat is just full of people who keep giving him half truths or mixed info about what to do so he is making a fair amount of mistakes just by doing what they say. I know the new Pokemon games are different but the basics are pretty close and he truly has no clue what is going on. I'm gonna have to go watch his Omega Ruby playthrough now and see if he knew more back then.

Pikachu can win but you need to grind him plenty. Also, Phil didn't even try healing and switching for some reason.

If he's struggling this bad with Staryu, oh man. You dents are going to sit through lots of grinding Bellsprout, Ordish and/or Pikachu and lalalala.

Phil is aware to some level because he knew Kadabra was OP for ZA, and it is here for press Psychic move button and win but won't be effective vs. Starmie.

He could have swapped, heal Pikachu while some other foddermon dies and just take that 1/3 of Staryu. The thing is... he had Thunder Wave and Double Team, even my retarded 8 y/o dumb ass knew that inflicting one immediate stat gives you a lot of advantage, but he just chose to attack for 1/3, lose his best Pokémon and then, for whatever insanely fucking dumb reason, use a physical attack on a Staryu with 2 defense boosts.

This by no means was even remotely difficult, Phil is just incredibly retarded. He had plenty of options but just gave up because he couldn't spam A to win. Unbelievable.

The old pokemon is the only pokemon I have ever played and I played it as a kid. I don't think I've ever accused the game of actively cheating. It really is just a natural reflex for him to do that when he loses.

ZA was also dogshit and piss easy. Like retard DSP can beat it easy. I’d like this fat faggot to try some of the ROM’s where one random trainer will make you question God.

Begging for people to pay him to name Pokemon, then turning it into a fucking auction, just to then banish them away to the PokeBox never to be seen again has GOT to be against TOS, if it's not already. It is simply comical levels of greed and hatred for the dents

Phil is the reason why strategy guides were invented. Without them, his autistic ass is doing what he's doing now, that is not utilizing type matchups.

Does he even know that some types are better than other types in fights?
He only knows when chat reminds him honestly he had this same issue in ZA and its why he gave up on the DLC.

DSP for sure bought every fucking strategy guide he could he even bought the ones for fighting games when I was going through Tekken vids earlier he was showing off buying them at the midnight releases and stuff. I could understand pre GameFAQs buying a guide for an RPG or something but even in the AOL era you could find at least tips online for most of them.

bought the ones for fighting games
What tf would those be for? I get for ones that were made for arcade versions, or some shit, but since SF4, they all show you the special moves and have combo trials. Why would you buy one of those? Maybe it's different for Tekken.

It's exactly what you think but a sucker is born every minute. He was going to those midnight releases weekly for years in the early days of YouTube so he would just buy what the fuck ever was on sale with it and every collectors edition possible.

The Tekken Tag Tournament 2 guide has "Tekken pros" showing how to beat certain characters and stuff of course until the game gets patched or something and then it's useless.

He didnt know what to use against the geodudes in the cave, that was literally right after Brock's gym, so no he doesn't know type advantages and doesn't even bother trying to remember them when the dents constantly tell him what is super effective against what.
