Would need to have a different structure than normal battles though - Phil will say nothing until Chris leaves, then start shit talking him.
This reminds me of the SNL skit of Shy Ronnie
It's worth a chuckle thinking about DSP.
I remember 4 years ago he cried about how there were a lot of people at the mall and ended the rant with "DON'T THESE IDIOTS KNOW ABOUT COVID?" I dunno piggy, do you? If he's so afraid of the coof why is it okay for him to be out at the mall but not other people?
Because *he* doesn't care about or believe there's a threat with COVID but everyone else *should* because he doesn't want them there. He's an autistic narc special boy. He's better than you, he needs to work on schedules, and the world also revolves around him.

Clearly he's only playing it cause it gets him an occasion to play "old video game expert" on the whole dragon quest franchise.

It also feed his "I love jrpgs persona".

There's no interest in that game in particular

Watch him do the same with the virtual boy next.
I think he also feels "safe" with RPGs. I've never played DQ7 so I don't know if this is the case, but Phil tends to "enjoy" RPGs because he can never engage with the system, just spam basic attacks and grind when that strategy inevitably fails until he's at the point where his basic attack spam wins. In his mind, there's also less of a chance of being shown as bad at gaming, like when he sprays bullets at someone's feet in COD or doesn't try to parry an attack until 10 seconds after it hit him in a Soulslike, or his panicked button mashing when his pattern play fails in SF. He can just claim the game is poorly made because a boss is OP and imply that you're expected to grind to level 99 to defeat a level 10 boss because it's an RPG.

Plus, the games are also built in nap time for Phil whenever cutscenes come up, and we know Phil hasn't been sleeping well since he's staying up so late quietly watching Wings in his office, frantically lowering the volume if Wings raises his voice because he doesn't want Khet to come in and yell at him.

Hit the nail on the head there, which is why it's even funnier when his grinding can't work, like in Clair Obscur, yeah sure he grinded up to ridiculous levels by going to that optional endgame area early on but when the game required him to have an actual build (namely, when he fought the optional superboss Simon) he just got prison raped and ended up wage/ragequitting the game. Another example is Yakuza 7. There are two optional super dungeons (it's literally just the same dungeon but the second one has every enemy's level maxed) and when the second one required him to use even the most basest, barebones tactics beyond just "spam biggest number attack" he got his ass one-shot by the SECOND enemy encounter and ragequit it.

I genuinely hope Phil is an abused spouse. It wouldn’t realign the universe from all the bullshit he puts into it, but it’d be a start.
Lol that's a special kind of alog. Phil really knows how to unlock the love of people around the world.

"I genuiely hope Phil is an abused spouse."

It's funny because it's not even that far fetched. Perhaps not extremely abused but he's definitely getting psychological/mental abuse.

Being around the tremendous Khetimanjaro is abusive enough as it is. Thankfully her massive stature at least blocks out the full sun of Renton, which could conservatively make Phil's office as warm as 90°.

I have a feeling the Virtual Boy event is gonna be a fucking disaster.

>The Virtual Boy for Nintendo Switch 2/Nintendo Switch accessory* or the Virtual Boy (Cardboard Model) for Nintendo Switch 2/Nintendo Switch accessory is required to play Virtual Boy – Nintendo Classics.

What this says to me is that the accessory is the only way these games will boot up, and you won't be able to, say, view the games on a TV so they can be streamed. Now, there have been alterations that say it will be the only way to play them in 3D, so the hope might still be alive, but that's what it says on the website.

Even if they are, if you remember when he played PSVR, he will not be able to view his chat aka view the contributions of chat. Also, he's gonna sweat like a Phil would by looking through the screen long enough, increasing his overall frustration when he does not achieve the successful dollar amount.

I don't even know why he's bothering to cover this other than MAH OLD GAEMZ. And I'd say it's an easy bet he did not have a Virtual Boy growing up.

This is why he avoided Persona 5 Royal, all of the Shin Megami Tensei games and all of the Digimon RPGs. Those are games where you straight-up cannot win without engaging in the game mechanics. And no I won't count his Metaphor or Digimon Story Time Stranger demos as having been "played it" since he's just rushing through them.

Wasn't there to clip Rimjobworld but sounds like I didn't miss much. Just a couple of select bans from detractors.win/bans because I think it's hilarious this dude genuinely thinks he has thick skin. He doesn't even moderate that much guise! 126 bans total yesterday.

This one was from the afternoon stream but I thought it was a great example of just what a pussy he is. Username isn't insulting, comment itself you could take as mildly insulting but wasn't it Phil who said a fact can't be offensive? He's such a bitch...

Let's be real, if Phil were smart enough to cure cancer, he still wouldn't do it. Because it requires him to get a job.

Now guys, I know a lot of you want me to cure cancer, but I can make way more money doing what I'm doing right now.

The most shocking thing to me was that, when he's drunk, he really drinks his own kool-aid about building a legacy.

I COULD cure cancer, but I'm not going to! Because you guys are being meanies to me. Ackackack cdat? You're mean to me so I refuse to cure cancer.

the only reason he doesn't play atlus games is because some atlus account made fun of him when he ragequit nix a decade ago
Even back when he did play them he did not play any of the Shin Megami Tensei RPGs because unlike Persona 3 and 4 they cannot be bruteforced. And Persona 5 Royal will destroy him way harder than the Vanilla Persona 5 because almost every single boss in that game is some sort of gimmick boss that demands you to take the gimmicks seriously.

Phil is only able to deal with that Dragon Quest or Pokemon sort of basic bitch RPG where you can bruteforce everything just because you are 30 levels higher than anyone else around the same area.

I’m glad he’s never touching P5R because I couldn’t sit and watch an irredeemable man deal with a well-intentioned extremist antagonist who needs to redeemed in the end

It’d be like sitting Ebeneezer Scrooge down to read him A Christmas Carol and right at the end he calls you a fag and throws hot coals in your face

He won't even get past Madarame or Okumura and would had been rage quitted by then, so he can't see evil Maruki. Those are 100% bona fide gimmick bosses and if you're not playing by the rules (especially on Okumura) it doesn't matter if you're double the boss' level you're just getting hardwalled.

He won't even get past Madarame or Okumura
Either of these would be personal poetic justice for Phil if they filtered him.

Madarame used people who trusted him and to whom he had a responsibility for their development and wellbeing to expand his own renown, just like Phil did with John Rambo and Howard.

Okumura abuses those who support his financial success, just like Phil does with his fans.
