She has the job because the Democrats scalped the best person for the job (or, rather, they made head movements that they were going to scalp him and he backed down and quit politics)
Wasn't just Democrats. Plenty of Republicans opposed Gaetz too because of that shady case against him.

I saw plenty of dissent here too.

If only there was a retarded blonde in charge of The DOJ you could talk to about this

If Blondi isn't fired soon, the future of this country belongs forever to gay race communists.

I imagine at this point they are either worried the Senate won't confirm an appointment for a new AG or they are deluded and think she actually does her job.
It's definitely the latter. Trump was literally whiteknighting her when she fucked up with the Epstein files and disavowed anyone who called her out, including his own fucking supporters.

“To preserve the supply of single-family homes for American families and increase the paths to homeownership, it is the policy of my Administration that large institutional investors should not buy single-family homes that could otherwise be purchased by families.”
(X) You can tell this one is a really good one because no one on the DNC is even mentioning it.

(X) Hmmm, monitor the situation you say?
Anyone who advocated for JD being the 48th president is a fucking retard. What a joke.
