it's one of the few things he does I find entertaining, cause he actually feels pressured, when he plays SF.
It's like, he believes, he has to keep some kind of image up (I played on a professional level, dood) and he reflexively copes about stuff.
When he does his podcast copes, he has time to think about, what to say (still contradicts himself within sentences).

I watched the C.Viper matches and they were incredibly boring because he was playing Dhalsim and playing keep away so most of each match was C.Viper trying to catch him.

Talking about the whole "updating my Windows and PS5 is like working in the coal mines" crashout from yesterday, just remember that when Reeanna shitcanned him he had to learn how to wash his clothes and he said he'd spend "hours" doing so. I wouldn't be surprised if he just sat there watching the bar get filled up just like how he used to do so when he was "babysitting uploads" and I bet when he first learned how to wash his own clothes he sat there watching the washing machine work rather than doing what anyone who doesn't need a halfway house to function would do, which is fuck off and do something else until the machine is done.

I'm an Alisa main and consistently no one puts any effort into learning patterns and then calls the character broken, Phil isn't unique for that. I also play Asuka and have no issue with Alisa players, but I fight a Paul or one of the Kazuya variant characters and they all don't try and then blame Alisa. Alisa also is rooted in the same design philosiphy as every other Tekken character. King cames from Mexican wrestling movies, Heihachi and Kazuya are based on the trope in asian martial arts films where the student must overcome the master. Like all of that Alisa is based on sci-fi anime. I think they wanted her to be based on Chise from Saikano, Chise is also questionably human, her wings are very similar to Alisa's wings, and Chise can transform her arms into guns like how Alisa can transform them into Chainsaws. Her personality is based on a different character but I'm not sure from what series. Also Tekken 7 and 8 both have the same hair and outfit so you can turn her into Chise. These are things Phil could tell you if he cared about Tekken, but instead I have to be autistic instead.

Ya when you look at the conservative estimates of what he made and know that he could've made $200k+ easily he is for sure worried about that potential tax bill. I can't even be a lore master because Phil just ignores story in everything he fucking plays now. He never made a single comment on the story in Gears of War, he would just talk over important dialogue, howl at the hype moments and then rage when he chainsaws his 5th lambent wretch in a row not knowing they blow up and do shit tons of damage if you do. Halo will be my next chance, but he'll do the same. He also pretends to have seen shows when he hasn't. He claimed to have frequently watched One Piece in the 2000s and doesn't know much more than Luffy and the name of the boat. Same thing for Dragon Ball, although in Sparking Zero he spent so much time yelling at online matches he never commented on the show that game was adapting.
