Anything he could do here would be massively offset by the taxman giving shit to him and every involved employee. The CRA looks very poorly on material compensation over financial compensation, and anything more significant than about $500 in retail value or so in a year brings the tax man ringing. Its not illegal but its the kind of thing where the tax paperwork just sucks for everyone involved. So aside from giving them the inventory, you'd also have to pay a payroll tax on it, and the employee would have to file it and pay income taxes on it. And when your employee smoothbrains through an efile and doesn't report it right, everyones getting a lovely round of expensive audits.
It helps a great deal that marketing budgets for these companies continue to go retardedly high, and he's probably got personal contact with the ASUS reps from his time with LTT. Not hard to call them up, and not hard for the rep to convince marketing that putting a foot down in a growing channel wouldn't hurt. A set build is peanuts compared to say just the hardware alone for sponsored streamers, much less the actual pay to them atop it.

He's 39. As for his wife and children, I honestly don't really care. They weren't a big part of his videos (although the kids have shown up more times lately) so I feel like it shouldn't be a big topic of discussion. I'm very cagey when it comes to other people's children, if there's a good reason to talk about them then sure but half the time it's just the same hapa=ugly comment which isn't very nice when it's about kids.

Buying a house to fill it with expensive stuff feels a bit tone deaf when young adults (their entire audience) are struggling to even afford rent, evident by his own employees living with roommates.
