Remember all the back-patting about their retarded "the only PC build video you'll ever need"? That was never a good idea with how things change, so he's actually doing simple step by step PC build videos again where it is incredibly welcoming in terms of presentation, a real "please watch this video that was recommended to you." And I'm fine with that, as monstrous as he became, Anthony had one of the best budget PC build videos back in 2019 that made him not look like the poser he was.
On the whole it's fine, I hate how he uses Amazon and just ignores the fraud that comes with 90% of things not sold directly by Amazon, and how he also is using tech on inventory (scared to spend money, curry braces?) but I wanted to move my PC into a Fractal North but now that he did it I don't want to. Transitive property would make me a leaf which would make me a jeet and I can't have that.

From Linus' own accounts I'm sure Yvonne is a lovely, ambitious woman, whom Linus quite literally owes everything to her and her efforts, pulling in extra hours at the pharmacy, working out logistics and accounting... the works really for Linus Media Group that you would want out of any loving, ride-or-die wife. Those things alone would be more than enough reason outside of Linus' fetishised yellow fever to fall for someone like her.
That said, I can't get over the fact that Linus' own kids look nothing like him, and I can't imagine what that must feel like; in-spite of the wealth and status they must have, I feel strangely sorry for them. I grew up with a lot of mixed race kids and all of them at their base had, without exception, deep identity issues linked to their ethnicity - always too White to be X, too X to be White, basically stuck in a societal limbo state that I wouldn't wish upon anybody.
When I saw Linus' son in the most recent video, my first thought legitimately was that he would look more in place in a Vietnamese propaganda poster with the header "Forward Glory of Socialism", or the "Ambitious Youth of the Viet Cong" than as any Tech Reviewer's son.
What torture it must be to look at your father, you look at his skin, you look at his features, you look down at your own hands and see you are nothing alike, you look in the mirror and the similarities are few, if any are even there, and you will realise you will never look anything alike to him.
What a depressing and horrifying state to inflict upon someone.

i think its a lot of "all in your head" stuff when it comes to mixed race. its why you see it all the time in HAPAs or half blacks but never in like latinos. Even you saying "you look nothing like your father" as if step dads aren't a de facto norm for a good chunk of people. my cousin has been calling the same person dad since she was 4, it doesn't really affect her because she wasn't taught that its weird.

Yvonne doesn't look to me to be Han Chinese. There is a variety of ethnicities and religions that exist in China, obviously including Buddhists.

She looks like some sort of Southern Chinese, maybe a Zhuang.

Not entirely true, lots of Chinese Buddhists are vegetarian but they still do eat eggs & consume dairy products. (Minor pl) lived in east Asia for more than 5 years, lots of my Buddhist friends there wouldn’t eat meat or fish

That's true and I knew that, even Japan before the modern era was mostly like that, besides eating a lot of fish. But I meant veganism, which is a modern invention, and in modern era, Chinese are less likely to be vegetarian\vegan.
