the dnc doesn’t have a coherent platform because most of the party is non-white at this point. A white Christian republican from Montana has more in common with another white Christian republican from Alabama than a Nuyorican democrat in NYC has with a Muslim Bangladeshi immigrant democrat in the same city. That is why the Republicans are able to coordinate and maintain a semblance of unity better than the democrats despite all the faults and divisions among the Republicans.
I assume this base has less of an issue with fertility than other groups in the US. Many moderate Republicans seem to have families.
