So, uh, after talking to a an old coworker about the Trump leak, it's most likely a non-issue.
The freakout was originally by the IC that it was a SAMI leak, so they thought he listed his source in conversation to the Russian Ambassador on some sensitive data he has regarding ISIS and a few other terror factions in play on the Syria conflict, potentially selling out an ally's agent or capabilities to the Russians. The more that's coming out though is it looks like he merely shared said sensitive data without mentioning the source or addressing it in a conversation about stopping the flow of money and arms to ISIS from Iranian and Saudi sympathizers. Which, while not the best way to handle gifting info to a potential rival, certainly isn't getting any intel agents killed like Snowden, Bradley manning, Hillary's emails or Karl Rove's butt-fuckery

Off-topic and a bit of powerleveling: What does SAMI mean? I've been in the 'IC' before and haven't a clue what that is.
Also, the myth that Manning got anyone killed is bullshit. The limited information in those logs only gave names like Abu Muhammad, Durka Hassan, etc. Every other sand nigger is named that.

Out of interest, how has this constant barrage of """controversies""" gone down with people who didn't vote (or grudgingly voted but didn't like either candidate)? I know in the UK people have basically stopped caring and each new event just gets a tut or maybe a "what a tit" as a response at most. Obviously this excludes committed lefties, students and particularly boring journalists who still act like exceptional individuals whenever Trump so much as speaks.
Sorry if it's slightly off topic, just curious how the average man on the street reacts to this stuff and how it differs from constant salt spewing from the media.

Manning's dump had some stuff that most likely got a few of our off the books charters hit in Afghan and was the reason the muhj figured out how to stream Hunter and Shadow feeds using a hy-gain and a laptop running linux
But SAMI is Sources and Methods Intelligence, essentially what I described afterwards, ie HOW you obtained intelligence. Kind of the holiest of holy things behind only strategic arms shit

For what it's worth, I grudgingly voted not liking any of the candidates (I voted for Gary Johnson because I felt he best represented my views so I don't know how much my thoughts are worth) and frankly I stopped caring about the controversies a year ago, right around the time the "Grab them by the pussy" shit became big because it seemed hypocritical to me to get angry at that when you could just as easily cherry-pick things Clinton said years ago that don't represent her now.
I've basically tuned out the media's reports by this point because it's all just white noise now. It's really hard for me to care when literally anything Trump does is met with scorn and salt.

Majority of Americans: Neither know nor really care as best I can tell, whoever they voted for. I think the people who didn't like Trump continue to not like Trump, and the people who voted for him don't really feel they have much in the way of cause to regret said vote, at least not yet. Not only is the media held in low regard by virtually everyone in this class, I'm not even sure they pay much attention to it any more.
SJWs: Perpetual outrage from the perpetually outraged, though if anything they seem even less coherent of late. Possibly this may in fact have the opposite effect of what they intended, in the sense that they alienate those on the fence. Dunno. Or such is my IRL personal experience with a few acquaintances, won't powerlevel beyond that.

I'm in a geographic area that tends to favor Trump, so take this for what it's worth. It seems like the people who voted Trump have gotten on with their lives, the people who didn't are patting themselves on the back and saying "Yep, we told you so." Which is basically what happens after every election, ever. To address your larger point, it does seem like each time a controversy comes out, the reaction from both sides is less and less. The Anti-Trump people post some "impeach him now" meme on social media, and the Pro-Trump people are unaware it even happened.
The media is at the point where they can do one of two things: either they at least accept that Trump is the president and isn't going anywhere any time soon, or they can keep crying "RESIST" and lose what little credibility they have left.

Trumps favorability ratings literally haven't changed since the election. Right now the biggest scandal.. or well yesterday's biggest scandal comey has basically 61% either agreeing with it or not caring
People have tuned out the fake mainstream media and it's only the people who give a shit reinforcing themselves while everyone else is busy living their lives, working and caring about other shit

From what you guys are saying it seems that strongly partisan people are still strongly partisan and the majority in the middle continue to not give a shit. I'm glad that from what you're saying people seem to be basically getting on with life for the most part and not fixating on all this dumb shit like the media is.
