Came in early and took some pictures of the scene

memorial got bigger by the end of the day but didn't have time to grab a pic. The construction on the actual site is weird but that spot has always had bad drainage and been very swampy so maybe they just took the opportunity to rip out the sod and tile over it, idk.
Arrived before people cleaned up from last week. everything was untouched from the previous panic. food still out in the food court, popcorn stands and tables still out from other campus events, tables and chairs still flipped over in the rush to evacuate. very haunting. There were several dried vomit stains in and around the area. having seen the footage i'm not surprised, could barely contain it myself, can't imagine having actually been there.
Mood on campus is very weird. place is crawling with security and media and a lot of people are afraid and/or angry. Tuminez held several livestreams discussing the assassination (they still refuse to refer to it as such) and the plans going forward but it's all nonsense legalese PR bullshit and not much worth repeating.
Of note, there will be a vigil for Charlie on Friday, and there are plans to install a memorial/monument in or around the amphitheater. the usual suspects are quite pissy about that and a committee is being formed to discuss it, so it will likely end up being a small plaque somewhere where it won't offend anyone, if anything at all. If the thread is still active by then, I'll grab a pic.
