Phil's big rant today was a big mess for numerous reasons but one little part that I found funny was his insistence that he's changed and he's more successful than ever because he play the games that YOU want him to play.

So... for 10+ years you operated a business centered around people watching you play games without considering if people want to watch you play the games? Am I understanding this right? It took well over a decade of doing this for a living for you to sit down and think "I should play games that people want to see me play for this job I have where people tune in to see me play games". This is the narrative we're going with?

It's another case of Phil existing in a perpetual present. Past Phil was such a nitwit retard that I cannot believe thought what he was doing was smart. I, current Phil, truly have achieved chim. Savings? Health? Sounds like future Phil's problem to me bucko. I'm living life 10 goals at a time.
The past and the future do not exist and are merely canvases for present Phil to paint whatever narrative is the most immediately beneficial on a surface level for him at this exact moment.

It funny because if anything the opposite is true the games he played used to matter because the hot new releases did do numbers for him and drive the business so if he listened to his fans back then he would've made even more $$$$.

Now he could just play what he wants to play most of the time and not take much of a hit financially but he still has to play new releases whenever possible and drop stuff he likes. He is basically forcing himself to play stuff he doesn't want to play (Tony Hawk, DK, DS2 , Mario Kart are all clearly games he did not enjoy playing recently) just because they are new releases. The only game I have seen him actually truly enjoy in the last few months is CvS2.

He has admitted this is true many times that he can just play whatever cause the money comes outside of the gameplay but he still can't pull the trigger and just play what he wants

Google is going to really have their AI put to the test when Phil won’t shut the fuck up about being a mature adult, then in the same breath say your car tells you when it needs oil.

My favorite Captain Alex moment was when he was talking about getting fucking steamrolled at Pokemon TGC or some shit, and wanted other contestants to give him a chance to win (For obvious reasons). He was going ballistic since he was never able to win a single time against anyone, in the midst of him sperging out he said that if he lost one more time he would bring a gun to the convention and fucking kill himself there LOL.
