I think it would be too hard on his ego, that type of naked transaction. Going it half-blind like he does now also gives him opportunities to castigate the dents with “You told me you wanted this!” speeches.

Also, Phil's idea for how to get a high score is just to get special and go up a quarter pipe and do a 900 over and over.

I remember that was his complete gameplan when he was playing the remake of THPS 1+2. He was just spamming his special over and over again.

It's part of the guise that everyone entertains that he is some sort of auteur of gaming walkthrough style videos on his on demand style video gaming channel as part of the entertainment of the whole story of DSP.

My friend the word you're looking for is the penultimately worst playthrough/stream. Because with DSP there will always be a worse one. People give me shit over my use of the term penultimate a ton, but its literally the perfect word for everything involving DSP.

IMO that's one of the most interesting things about Phil. No matter how low he goes and how certain you are that he has finally hit the absolute bottom, he ALWAYS finds a way to go lower.

To almost any other person it would be the single lowest point in their life to accidentally livestream themselves masturbating and have the entire internet see it. For Phil that isn't even in the top 10 list of all-time embarassing, cringy shit they've put out into the world. Every stream is worse than the last, every game playthrough is worse than the last, and I don't think it's ever going to change.

IMO that's one of the most interesting things about Phil. No matter how low he goes and how certain you are that he has finally hit the absolute bottom, he ALWAYS finds a way to go lower.

This is why I don't care if paypigs are throwing money at him. That is negative reinforcement, and it will destroy him in the long run. It allows him to get away with doing less and less every time, and becoming less creative every time.

DarkSydePhil is perhaps the most slow burn lolcow out there, and these things really matter in the long run.

The paypigs are pretty much ensuring that

1. Without 2 or 3 of them, he is fucked
2. The content will never improve and will never have a chance to gain popularity
3. He becomes willing to invest less effort every time, therefore making him more prone to mental breakdowns whenever the slightest improvement is expected of him

Sometimes I feel like a prisoner trapped in Phil's warped view of reality - a sort of sanitarium where rather than getting treatment I'm begin permanently injected with various experimental psychotropic medications and where up is down, down is up and the grass is never green.

"permanently sinking ship" as the subforum description feels a bit too accurate at times - if this were the titanic then the crew and passengers all died long, long ago and the boat must be resting on the floor of the ocean and we're all trapped in a tiny pocket of air at this point.
