Funny story, it seems some dumbass pulled the fire alarm in the place I was seeing it before the third act started.
Now I have to wait to see the third act to get it over with.
Also is it me or did somebody on that crew really wanted to put Suicide Squad's Enchantress in this film? That's the vibe I was getting from the villain.

I'm hearing it's the original Power Rangers, but more for the current generation than the fans of the original. It's a bit darker, characters are a lot more flawed, etc.

wasn't the whole appeal of the original series its campiness? like i don't remember it fondly because of its intricate character arcs or storytelling, i remember it because it had men in rubber monster suits and a villian who lived in a dumpster on the moon.

I blame Bay's Transformers for making Hollywood think they have to take beloved cheesy children's cartoons and turn them into grimdark reboots.

Apparently there's gonna be six. If that means this will be in the style of Power Rangers Multi-Parters of the MMPR era, then I am suddenly interested.

The ball was still dropped on everything though, especially the Michael Bay-looking Zords.

And I doubt Elizabeth Banks looks hot in this gettup.

The movie was pretty shallow and forgettable superhero bullshit but to say the movie was even approaching Fant4sdick level of incompetence is pretty autistic.

That's setting aside grown men crying because it's not like the television show they watched as kids.

I know he wrote a script, he even hired a professional artist who worked on the IDW Godzilla comics to do concept art for it. Now whether he was actually working at the studio or if it was just fanfic like his Ghostbusters 3 treatment I couldn't say.

Pretty sure she lived in a giant moon palace. I think she was trapped in a dumpster in the first episode. I don't remember it being on the moon, tho. Maybe it was another planet/dimension.

I mainly watched it for robot dinosaurs.
