I'll probably go see it, but I'll try to boost my enjoyment by digging out my old VHS tapes with episodes recorded straight from TV and watching them with an adult eye. Surely anything will be better than a 90's American rip-off of a Japanese live action super hero series, right? ...Right?

This just proves @dannyfrickenp 's point immensely - besides a lot of other things...
Doesn't exactly help when it's Linkara, either. The man can make Dr. Who look lame. And I'm not even a fan of that series to begin with.

Let's face it, as bad as this movie might be, it's got nothing on AT4W's Power Ranger bits.

The little kid in me was kinda hoping Alpha 5 would do his singature "Aiyiyi!" noise. Oh well.

But yeah, probably not going to see it, but it doesn't look too bad.

To be honest it looks like a generic action movie with heavy sci-fi elements thrown in. The only difference is it's Power Rangers. Looks like it will be a fun movie for the Spring/Summer 2017 which is best because families and kids and would love to see it.

Twitch is having a marathon of all the Power Rangers series to promote the movie.

If I were still a believing Catholic I would watch this in perfect confidence it would reduce my time in Purgatory.

General Question: Is Ryulong dead or something? I would have thought this trailer alone would have set him off on a massive 80,000 word sperg jag on some dark corner of the internet or other. Yet it appears to be complete radio silence from the Weebeist Weeb of all time/Master of Wapanese punctation/Everyone's Favorite Oceanographer. Has he suddenly gotten a life while my back was turned?

His thread's been pretty slow. I think he just pops up about some JoJo words or something.

His Twitter's protected, and he seems to prefer Kamen Rider over Sentai.

How long until people blame the negative reviews on homophobia and autism hate?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbi...r-Rangers-shows-gay-superhero-big-screen.html

Let me get this straight: So an obviously-evil lady holding a teenage girl by the neck up against the wall of her room and threatening her with harm counts as the character "coming to terms with her sexuality"? What's Rita going to do here, plant a kiss on her and laugh evilly?

If so, TV Tropes calls this a "take-that kiss", it's usually used as mockery or to get a reaction out of whomever the villain's antagonizing. I fail to see how that counts as "gay" and "progressive".

Saw it last night, and was surprised by how much I liked it. It didn't take itself too seriously, but it also didn't apologize for what it was or become a parody of itself. I think the Rangers' interactions with each other were very well done, and were also the movie's strongest aspect.
Wish they had more hand-to-hand combat while wearing their suits, though.

I went to a matinee and let me tell you, it was full of spazzing, stimming exceptional people. One guy mimicked morphing poses and everything. Oh, the autism. Truly majestic.
