Not really, they’re mostly old and dysgenic warhawks that want a war they’re too scared, old and/or fat to fight in themselves. A lot of them are panicked about the possibility of Trump becoming president again because he wants to end the war in Ukraine, which would leave these people without a purpose in life.

I would rather suggest that it's not a matter of knowledge as much as them having their hands tied by politics. After all, the previous times there were cross-border incursions NAFOids cheered about how they'd capture Belogrod and likely upped whatever donations they were sending towards those crowdfunding accounts that were going to disappear to the pockets of whoever is in charge of logistics out there. It also pleases western politicians to see "results" even if they aren't lasting.
