That makes sense in the post Marvel media landscape. After all, there was a time where Marvel properties were considered near worthless before they became billion dollar properties under Disney.

Now every IP owner guards IP's with their lives just in case they luck out and end up being connected to some other Billion dollar IP expanded universe.
That feel when no RWBY Fortnite skins. If they ever want to appeal that product to the mass, just release a Fortnite skin.

I doubt the IP is valuable enough to justify salvaging it over developing an original “western produced anime.” There’s definitely a market for it but RWBY has so many issues that just continuing it would probably be a nightmare and remaking it would alienate the existing fanbase unless they made something amazing. Even if they bought it for pennies on the dollar the production costs would outweigh the potential profits.
Honestly, RWBY would be better off in the dustbin or made like a cartoon. I would make it similar to TMNT 2012.

That’ll never happen with RWBY. They can’t even get a DC series working right.
Yeah no shit. That doesn't change the IP owners are greedy morons who sacrifice long term dollars for short term pennies.

They would rather continue to fuck up the IP than let someone else who can do better things with it have it even on a short term basis unless they pay an unreasonable amount of money for it.

Doesn't WB own Cartoon Network? Which has an in-house studio and cover everything from kids' stuff to Adult Swim and Toonami. If they wanted to continue the RWBY show they'd just remake the IP to fit in one of those moulds. It might be funny if that does happen since I imagine it would exist entirely in the shadow of mass blarms-style tardouts at any and all changes they made from the source material.

I wouldn't be surprised if under a more competent animation studio they could produce the episodes for significantly cheaper without sacrificing much in the way of production quality. RWBY is probably the one salvageable thing from RT. It has an established fanbase that extends beyond just RT fans and thus could reach new fans. So much of RT's productions appealed strictly to RT fans.

I believe so, yes. But I think Adult Swim is one of the things WBD is having issues with as well.

Again, you gotta find someone who even wants to work on this thing, even just for an easy paycheck.

WBD also owns TBS, TNT and truTV, but even shit like Impractical Jokers and American Dad are the only things keeping these networks alive. CN is on its last legs with Adult Swim filling up the majority of that network

FunHaus pumping out their line up of videos is like the most pathetic death rattle.
Like watching an old friend slip into a coma over the course of days, to the point you just want it to end.

The peak was the lot of RTX and FH abandoned children streaming AmongUs on Twitch today
c'mon guys, you can't be this out of touch and out of work - pick a struggle.

I'd love to see James/Elyse make their way to inside gaming, or branch out to make their own content because I truly do find them funny, and they deserve better than the smoldering ruins of FH they dealt with for the last 4 years.

This last image almost makes me miss Alanah working there.

RWBY fans are such simps that a cartoon network remake is the sequel they deserve
They're the same as game grump stans: Eternally bound thralls. Friends-hiring-friends, nobody can do any wrong. Suzy sold literal etsy plastic jewelry, got called out, and people moved on. There's entire pages dedicated to GG controversies and people shrug it off. I'm surprised RT went as long as they did.

Wonder if Funhaus will shut down. Not that I watch them ever since they became a pro-tranny freakshow led by the Willems, but still.

So we got Bizzarro Lindsay next to James, Bizzarro Jack in the bottom right corner, Bizzarro Jeremy behind James, and Bizzarro Gavin in the back right. It's the Shelbyville version of AH.
Thing is, to me, members like Ryan and Patrick would have fit great alongside Don, Omar, Jacob, Bones and Jon in the peak era (2017-2018) as part of the off-screen crew that would appear from time to time and would slowly ease their way to be side by side with the main cast but nope, let's hire Alanah out of the blue and smack her ass in the main cast, and then rummage through Cow Chop's deathbed to hire some of their former editors and add them to the main roster too.

camp camp also I seriously doubt Lawrence. Edit added a piss bear tweet

Translation: I had no fucking plans on what to do should the company that, let's be clear, was already going down the shitter, finally did. I am now trying not to have a melty as I figure out what to do in a place I've never lived in prior to my job.

Well it worked out so well for Gavin, Barbara and Michael, clearly that means I'll be just as successful and beloved as they were.

I remember hearing before people would do this because they saw the RT Life videos and assumed the job was all just fucking around, then they got fired for never pulling their weight and blamed RT for ruining their lives. This was back around 2012/2013. And still people made the journey out to Austin because they genuinely believed getting a job at RT meant they were set for life.
