The only one I can think of is James from Cowchop. The crazy thing is, all he did was try to skateboard down a small ramp. But he slipped, landed wrong and ended up breaking his arm.

Cowchop didn't really have a whole lot of Rooster teeth oversight, they were kinda left to their own devices from what I recall. But they were still technically under the RT umbrella.

And this isn’t even the dumbest thing James has done. The whole reason they moved to California with haste was due to them setting off FIREWORKS IN THE HOUSE.

Edit: I had to rewatch the skate board video. The whole reason James even hurt himself was because he was holding onto a chain for the garage, which kept fucking up his momentum. And then he mentioned he doesn’t even have insurance.

Cow Chop was the one channel who was so weird to me that it was still part of RT but at the same time had a Patreon and were just dudes fucking around, swimming in gallons of lube in a house in Colorado and then moving to Los Angeles.
Several members did have some neurons working correctly though and jumped ship before it sank, but I think that everyone knew that the channel would have gone up in flames eventually so...

edit: also kinda ironic that "Funhaus" last stream is James playing every Sonic game, a thing that Bruce always hated.

Who the fuck is the person in the middle, between John and Omar? Can't be Charlotte since this dude is actually keeping his mouth shut.

Was anybody ever seriously injured working at RT? Or, at least, what was the worst injury somebody picked up over the years?
A video from the good times, not the faggot times.

I watched RvB season 1 as it was released back in HS and seeing that 'goodbye' stream full of weirdos I don't recognise made me feel nostalgic and old and glad RT is finally dead so I can be left with my memories and not an abominable perversion of something I really enjoyed until 2014.

I've always believed that money and fame don't change your character, they just let you act out on it more freely.

My Mom used to call it "poaching from a helicopter" - A guy who grows up poaching animals for a living who hits the lotto one day isn't going to stop doing it. Even though he now can. He'll just buy a helicopter so he can fly himself to the range instead of walking.

Ryan probably always was a fun-fronting guy who went all horndog when no one was looking. Bet there are some stories from his HS days that he's lucky happened pre-mature-internet.
I largely agree with this, but compared to your example I'd say a lot of people, maybe even everyone, would slip morally in some way or other given the chance, even if they hadn't grown up doing anything bad before. Call it projection but I can believe it could happen to anyone. The question is just how far you go (or maybe, how perverse your inner desires are). You saw it in Hollywood with all the #MeToo stuff. Some people, like Louis C.K., would just politely ask to masturbate in a corner. Others would leverage your whole career on whether or not you would submit to them (Weinstein).

I honestly think fame and fortune are one of the worst fates possible. I'm happy to not be confronted with that world on a daily basis.

I tend to think this actually has a lot more to do with who pursues fame and fortune, what means they are willing to use, and how effective those means are in a given era. You can see the qualities of wealthy/famous people shift massively over the generations and I think there is a reason for that.

Consider Mister Rogers, for instance.

I don't know that I believe it really over the eras, because there were plenty of slimeballs then (slimy fucks can still make quality content!). I will also point out Ryan had no intent or realistic hope to be famous. He was an IT guy brought on as a 6th at AH and just stuck there.

It wasn't because of the fireworks. They talked about it in a later video and it was actually because of the military grade stink bomb liquid.

God I remember Cow chop bitching about the "snitch" who called their landlord and showed them all the stupid shit they were doing in that house.

I love cow chop, but I couldn't believe it when they unironically went "Yeah, but we cleaned it all up afterwards so its no big deal and we shouldn't be kicked out for it". Completely ignoring the shit they were doing that could have potentially (and probably did) damaged the houses foundations/internal structure, the multiple fire hazards that could have burned down the house and the general filth/water damage that accumulates from liquids dripping into the flooring/walls.

It was fun shit, but clearly a gaggle of retards who simply didn't have the forethought or mental capacity to understand any of the possible life threatening consequences and major structural damage they were doing to their rentals.

James's broken arm was probably a big wake up call for him of all the stupid life threatening shit they had pulled and only gotten away with through sheer luck.

If they wanted to do stupid shit to a house they definitely had the money to buy a fairly large house in the country rather than rent one in a densely populated area.

So, funny enough I actually really, really liked Cow Chop, cause it was just a bunch of dudes fucking around, which is what made OG RoosterTeeth good! I am a weirdo, in that I liked the CCTV podcast at first! And then everything went fucking downhill once they settled into Los Angeles.
What was the reason behind the Creatures shutting down?
Jordan trying to pivot the whole thing to be ad-friendly/kid-friendly, vs running a patreon (I don't remember if they ever started one), and James taking effectively half of what made The Creatures funny with him to form Cow Chop. They tried to salvage things by downsizing to some random fucking crackhouse in the ghetto and when Jordan realized it wasn't going to work, compounded by the second ad-pocolypse, he just threw in the towel without telling Kootz, who had to be told via Twitch donos that Jordan is running final sales on merch.

Speaking of final sales, the RT store is basically empty, except for the fucking ratyboy t-shirt and some RWBY t-shirts. Hilariously the Rooster Teeth new logo shirts took a while for them to just finally put on sale. For a dollar. lol.

The real interesting part is going to be WB's liquidation sale. A few diehards are coping that an indie team could buy RWBY and get the b& back together to continue it due to the current team being interested in doing so. The question is, will some other big corpo snatch it up for a price that can't be outbid via crowdfunding in a reasonable span of time?

Look, I'm not going to sugarcoat it. If WB sells the IP off, it'll be to fucking Disney, and even then I'm not sold on the idea that Disney will look at the viewer count and agree to pay.

Assuming it doesn't go to Disney, but a fan indie studio, that studio will be fucked. Congrats, they are now in an impossible position. If they want to change anything, the of crew will sic the fans on them for "ruining" it or refusing to listen. If they don't change anything, they will be the exact same black hole of money and they themselves will have to sell the IP.

I did not expect to hear about quantum immortality on todays F**ckface podcast, I wonder if Gav heard of it before or just grew his own interpretation by happenstance.
They also confirmed that the podcast will continue in some form or another with the same three hosts. If any one thing comes from the ashes of RT I'd prefer it to be F**kface

Man, I bought a bunch of shit back when Monty died & they announced they had sold out to Fullscreen, because I knew that that place would never be the same & the merch would start to suck. And you know what? I was right. I took a look at the store after reading through the news that they were closing last Wednesday, & there was not one piece of merch I would ever buy in that whole store. Not even for a dollar.
