Assuming you're talking about the fight with the devil, displacer beast, and the merrigons. I convinced the devil to kill the merigon's before the fight started. It was trivially easy after that
Yes that was the fight I was talking about. Started with the displacer beast and baited in the merrigon so they couldn't use their crossbows. The devil character just spammed invisibility and got ganked at the end.

You are not wrong about mistake of letting fatties in to smear all over the plot with their disgusting fanfic writing. But in case of this game, unless you actively search for it, you won't find it. Dykery, though. It's another matter

But here's the thing. The game is literally made so you can make a fucking pooner.

First thing you do, out of the box, is make a fat, black,"male" dwarf pink corn rows, a saggy vagina, and the "studmuffin" piercing pattern. This is their selling point. Truly a disgrace.

there are so many shills for this game, but that's to be expected with any slightly large release at this point
Dude, the fanboys and shills have made me start to have a sour look on this game. While this game is probably one of the better CRPG's released in years it, however, is no masterpiece. I like the game well enough but to say that it is better then Planescape Torment, Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate 1/2 or D&D games in the Gold Box Series are delusional. Then again those that are shilling and fanboying hard for this game are those whose first CRPG is Baldur's Gate 3 and are people who honestly believe that Larian is the "Saviors of Gaming" which is just foolish.

I like Larian's businesses practices of them not nickel and diming players, however, I lived in a day and age where game devs released a working product and didn't take out parts of the finished game to sell them back to you. When I spend 60-70 bucks on a game I better get the full product. Devs shouldn't get praise for not doing that. It should be mandatory. Also, I wish gamers would stop looking for a savior. Every time there is a dev that is somewhat consumer friendly gamers latch on to the devs like they are the long awaited messiah of gaming. Only to be disappointed by them down the line. Larian will be no different from the long list of other failed gamer messiahs. While I hope to be wrong, I really do as I would like to see more devs follow Larian's pro-gamer philosophy, however, this has proven to be a cycle in the gaming community so I am not holding my breathe.

The shills are out in full force to the point where I can't really tell if this game is any good despite Larian being pozzed. Now that it's been out for a few days, has a meta race/class combo risen to the top that I should use if I give this game a try?

There is no gender select button and the default character in the final release's character creator is a Nigger. Niggers are plastered all over the game when they weren't there in Early Access and the source material featured primarily white people, not Redguards. All you need to know.

Melee classes + Disarm attacks are the only meta.

Might add some longevity to the game if it ever gets a star wars mod. It wouldn't be KOTOR 3 but it would be something different. Might be interesting to take a spin on the original pitch of something set in the clone wars or new republic era so everyone can play as a jedi as everyone will want to and it makes sense. Though IIRC there are no modding tools for it. Nor does it have a workshop page. So I can't see it being as popular as any bethesda games once the bots inflating player counts disappear.

EA needs to be banned from their monopoly on the Star wars license for games. Every classic star wars game had a different studio behind it with some help from Lucasarts.

I don't want to be mean, but such a mod would take ages. Propably easier to just make indie kotor 3 yourself. Especially with graphics like this, unless you want to play as a Jedi isekaid into DnD planet, you can give that dream up.

I had my concerns when they started talking about retarded shit like the genital selector and vitiligo but now I think they just tossed it in so they could work on a good game in peace. My diviner playthough has been really satisfying.
Just to get it out of the way since people are taking the time to play it and I'm considering picking it up as well, how tolerable and/or moddable is the woke shit?

Really not a ton of the woke shit to be honest. The have a genital selector that you can see if you click the remove clothes checkbox. You can give your character a mangina if you want.

Starts kind of weird with everyone hitting on your character if you don't want to deal with it than just tell them to fuck off and the character never bothers you with it again. I'm just finishing up act one and I haven't ran across anyone showing up and telling me about their transition or bothering me about their gay marriage.

Other than that it's just straight up adventure.

It's just flags, set by developers. Once there are modding tools available for the full version, I will change them to things that were in early access before the nigger problem

And it's not to say that the romances in all those old games were necessarily deep, but they at least made some amount of sense. I blame the original Mass Effect for this - the romances in it are broadly fine and generally well-paced, since it takes a long time before any of the 3 companions express interest in you. But it really, really popularized this -obsession- with romance routes.

One of the biggest annoyances I had in ME2 was Tali: she went from being this awesome character with her own story, agency, and prerogatives to a dicksucker for the PC that desperately wanted to fuck you, and made it apparent from the nanosecond she reappeared in the game as an effectively totally new character. And despite the awesome lore of the entire species needing the enviro-suit, we're just gonna bin that with a macguffin so you can bone. Stupid.

Mass Effect was really just a dating simulator spliced between a third-person shooter game. The Dragon Age games were similar. Visual novels have been a thing since the 1980s, popularized in Japan.

The whole point of a dating sim was also to "win" a girl or guy which naturally meant building a relationship. This could make for more complex character interactions. All in all, I think that's what people remember most about a game's "story" is how sophisticated the game could make it to achieve a particular outcome.

Something I don't like about BG3 in this context is that you can't change the dispositions of any of the characters. What I mean is, Lae'zel has a predisposition towards the ways of her people, which (more often than not) means being violent toward others.

Similar with Viconia in BG2, there should have been a means of having her learn how to respect your way of doing things, if ideal results were achieved. Maybe even leading to an alignment change, if you choose the right dialogue choices.

Larian's writing and attempts are "humor" are sad.

Oh, for sure. That and there's zero subtlety. Like Shadowheart saying, "One moment..." and very blatantly picking something up and putting it away. Then you can ask what it was and she says, "It's nothing."

Umm, no. That's very obviously not "nothing" bitch. What did you put in your pocket?

Funny thing is, I don't know why they didn't hide this interaction behind your character's spot-check (if you took it). Older games used to have hidden interactions based specifically on if your character had keen eye, like if you played as a Rogue. Shadowheart might think she's being sneaky, but she could have been impressed if you were even sneakier.

Hell, you can't even call out Astarion for trying to trick you into chasing a pig even if your character is given Insight which specifically says, "Read people and situations. Detect lies."

I'm currently in the middle of act three and my interest and will to continue keeps waning. None of the content is engaging; I don't give a shit about anything.

I've also heard there's no ending slides or wrap-up that shows the consequences of your various choices or the fate of your companions & other characters and that most of the side content ends up being completely meaningless, which further kills my interest. I guess I'll take a break for a few days (or weeks) until I get the itch to play it again.

Did you enjoy Dragon Age Inquisition/Kingdom of Amalur, but wish there was no fetch quests? Buy BG3.
Did you love the world of possibilities Skyrim brought, but hated how janky and inconsistent it got sometimes? Buy BG3
Were you amazed by the Witcher 3, but want to play your own story? Buy BG3 (But play the Witcher 3 first if you haven't yet, it's a masterpiece)
Did you enjoy the inventive tactical combat of DOS2 apart from the armour system? BG3 is a must buy.
Do you want a respectful continuation of the original BG? Buy Siege of Dragonspear and learn that his pronouns are she/her?

As for the Africanesque default character, that's harmless. I guess they really wanted people to edit the appearance. I'm coming to the end of Act 1 and haven't encountered any wokeshit beyond the ridiculously 'inclusive' character creator
I cannot even recall any non-player same-sex couples(TwinkVamp was an abuse victim not a partner). The Goblin camp has a bit of in-you-face kink. One funny scene when a goblin asks you was it pleasurable being kissed on the feet just now. The other was the (clothed) flagulation scene, where the priest of the pain god seemed to enjoy it too much.

Negatives? The lack of facial customisation is disappointing, I'm assuming sliders don't play nice with the motion capture tech they used.

Best Class? I've respec'd Lae into a pact-of-the-blade warlock, as there are a lot of charisma checks during dialog.

Wizard in general is p shit tho, since AI will always target the squishest party member, bar none, regardless of distance. So that's fun.

Much better to be a Sorc. Gold Dwarves are especially good Sorcs since their HP increases by 1 every level. Go Draconic Sorc and you also get increased AC and another 1 HP per Sorc level. Tanky as fuck.

It's true. There are no ending slides for factions, NPC's and companions. Side quests are more or less just padding and there to get you better gear. If you get the best good ending for your character there will be a added scene at the end before the credits where you talk to your love interest about what you plan to do next. That is pretty much it. To me this is a far cry from Fallout 1, 2 and New Vegas where many of your choices affected the fates of towns, factions, NPC's and companions in the endings which made you want to do multiple replays to see what the endings would be. For me I'm probably just going to play the game once and be done with it afterwards. There doesn't really seem to be a reason for me to do another playthrough.

Its weird. I was curious how the sex scenes are and can find almost nothing about the gay and lesbian scenes. I did see one scene where the man and woman were like.....astral protecting or something lmao.

almost done with act one. i like the game so far but i would much rather play something like Pillars of eternity one or Pathfinder WOTR. maybe its because i like RTWP over turn-based in my CRPG.

it boggles my mind that some of you are already in Act 3. and i thought i had no life.

More updates on BG3 differences from 5E:
-Bard Magical Secrets doesn't have ALL spells from all traditions anymore, no prayer sadly. It's not CoDZilla anymore either, Life Cleric really is just the best healer now bar none. But the tabletop meta of just spamming lvl 1 healing word to stop death saving throws is still rampant so there's that i guess.
-Summons don't require bonus actions from the summoner anymore to do anything for some reason. So summon away I guess? NPCs will run away though so maybe unsummon in a village.
-Rogue Sneak Attack is somehow even more retarded, flanking no longer works, and the tooltip lies, it isn't advantage, but advantage from very specific things, also no sneak attack from any magic - at all. So arcane trickster is bunk. Though meleebard works nice I guess.
-One levelled spell (ie noncantrip spells) per turn no longer applies, so if you have extra full actions you can just spam fireball. I spammed 4 (Action surge + elixir + haste) in one turn at some point. I think the haste potion and the haste spell might stack? idk.
-Also, there's no "extra action where you can attack once" it's just all full actions now. So haste is just insane now (minus lethargy, but whatever).
-There are no longer any time duration effects beyond "10" rounds it's only "until short rest" and "until long rest" also there's specific potions called elixirs that provide long rest duration buffs, but each person can only be influenced by one elixir at a time. One of it gives a free AP on kill so that's nice.
-No attunement limits, go nuts on magic items, it kind of expects you to HAVE magic items though, in comparison to tabletop games where a +1 item would essentially be a free ASI to you.
-No material costs for anything I've seen so far, so just spam rez on people. Speaking of it only works on your characters, no rezzing the guy you just killed just to kill him again.
*still pissed there's no inventor I wanted to be a battlesmith monk godddammit.
