There's a place in America where you are kidnapped to or go into and you´re then abused in a SAW-like fashion, trying to escape. Its obviously nothing like in the movies, but its also nothing like the public "escape-rooms" that exist in every big city nowdays. Somewhere inbetween.
There's a man that flies around the world with new "slave" girls every month or so.
People in these clubs are protective of new members and people who step out of line get told very fast. Its nothing like NXIVM. There's no dogma to begin with.
What happens outside them is far more dangerous in any case.
Overall people who present themselves publicly and privately as high and mighty conservatives, cherishing family values are far more likely to be really depraved. If not for any other reason then that their lack of indulgence makes them snap at some point, as is the case with many priests.
But of course, you do have the opposite as well. We see that on the internet all the time, people crossing all points of decency, because of curiosity and then getting completely consumed by it.
This is a bit late, 2 years I guess. Im just reading through the thread, its a superb OP.
I remember reading a weird account once of a man who had insight into the life of a sheikh that supposedly kept a young adult alive and comparatively well taken care of always close by to be used for a transplant because he had a rare health condition, if what ever organ ( cant remember which ) failed him. He had supposedly been sold the way these kids were to Angelina Jolie with the condition that his organ be used if the sheiks ever started failing and there was no replacement.
About the MeToo movement I kinda detest the hypocrisy with which so many people engaged in these acts or knew about them, only to suddenly remember their conscience when the scandal broke. People are not very good in general, I think. Nor are we very principled when it comes to our own advancement in life. But when we have something to gain from engaging in collective social outry then there´s almost a competition who can be the most outraged.
