To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand WWE Champions. The gameplay is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical tetris most of the jpegs will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Phil's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from SF2 Turbo salt, for instance. The tippers understand this stuff; they have the financial capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike DarkSydePhil truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Phil's existential catchphrase "Nothing I can do" which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Phil Burnell's genius wit unfolds itself on their screens. What fools... how I pity them.

1 month of Horizon, "32 hours of gameplay": Someone who's good at math help me out. If you haven't seen the end of the Horizon stream he was stalling hard to hit his 100 likes and once he got it he instantly dashboarded and ended the stream. That seems to be his new vest streak, he's trying to find anything he can work off of. He even started bringing up that he hit it "all year", then it became two months, it's just semantics really.

How the hell has he not beaten this game yet? From what I read off poems Twitter he is bum rushing this game main mission to main mission and has somehow only played like 30 hours. This is in no way a brag but I got the game a week after he did put 60-65 hours in doing most of the side stuff and beat it a few days ago. I'm sure plenty more people are experiencing it right now with Elden Ring but nothing puts it into perspective how much of a slog he makes every playthrough then playing a game at the same time as Phil.

If he had no interest in the game he should have pawned the playthrough off on Kat telling her to record her footage and he could ramble about nothing for 2 hours while it plays in the background.

It isn't empty. He probably doesn't have the same power as he had previously but at one point he DID get Tevin taken down...even if he refuses to admit that he had any part in his Twitch account suspension (even though Tevin never restreamed DSP on his Twitch account.) He could probably name prominent detractor channels and then his entire fanbase would just mass flag their channels for harassing content or some shit and because of how the algorithm works, they'd get struck.

The fact that he doesn't do it "because he's a nice guy" is bullshit. He doesn't do it because he knows he'll get caught and there's far more people that hate him than there are people that support him. They'd immediately fire back with mass flagging for abuse of the community guidelines report system, but that'd be a fun fuckin' fight to watch.

I like how he suck at games and despite that he is convinced that he is actually good at them. "Retsupurea" streamers maintain viewers on their personality or on skills. He has neither of that but still has significant number of people willing to watch his struggles in beating vidya games with abysmal uninvolving commentary and few hardcore fans paying him directly for what he provides. I mean, there is nothing inherently wrong that people have bad taste in watching shit on their TV's or YouTube but still that raises a question is his pool of bored viewers is depleted or is there still unnumbered quantities of people that he can involve in his stream. He slowly declines for years but nonetheless still earns enough to not find a job IRL from 9-5.

Playing vidya games and then upload them on YouTube with no editing at all isn't sufficient in 2020's. Phil, that shit could work in 00's when nobody had video capture and record footage by camera pointed on monitor screen was good enough. That makes me wonder how in his mind he wants to compete with other streamers that despite entering this business way later than him amassed much bigger audience. Playing vidya in teens or in 20's isn't that bad looking but hey, you are reaching forty and audience is getting younger and younger to you each year. The generation gap is getting wider and wider and fewer people are interested in your work nowadays than 10 years ago when you were younger and had same cultural references.

A guy with business diploma can't make his business profitable. Well spent money, Phil.

Even if it's not that high, I will enjoy him bitching about it being brought up. It's probably going to be a new record for him, whatever the final count is, and he's going to be mad because there's no way to spin in his favor. Not with the figure being what it's likely to be at the end. No one else on YT is going to have died so many times, including whatever "pros" he's talking about. And with him maintaining that he hasn't used guides, even going so far as to say that his high death count is proof of that, well, there's a point where it gets so high that, if you believe that, you come under the impression that this is what it looks like when Phil goes it alone. Not good for his image. Especially since he IS using guides, and STILL hitting a new high.

I can't speak to how hard Elden Ring is, but others can, and I've seen enough to know that it doesn't matter what FromSoft game Phil tackles by himself. His death count is going to be outrageous next to anyone else. So just imagine what it would be like if he really stood on his own two hooves here. We would probably be looking at even more hours dumped into it, as well. Unless he did like Divinity 2 and dropped it because it was going to take him a fucking year to complete.

No matter what, this playthrough is going to sink hum further than he already was. Or at least kill his chances of reviving his channel.
