He also says 5th edition is a step up from 3rd edition which... call me a stupid millennial Darrick, but I would argue against that, 3.5 had a lot of content and had the right amount of crunch and math that it allowed for enough gatekeeping, sure, it is balanced, but as time went on it became worse than 3.5 which got better over the years so you can't really say it is better, especially now. The bragging about likes and trying to pretend 5e failed is also pretty pathetic. Until Wizards decided to rape the fluff to death and force shitty mechanics changes through Unearthed Arcana, the game was actually pretty solid. I think the skills list getting gutted and reworked the way it was was retarded, since you can't feel like an expert anymore in something. There's also issues with power creep that makes high level play suck. But it's a perfectly fine game if you just take the Player's Handbook and ignore the rest of that shit. Darrick even fucking agrees with me on this before throwing the knives at 3e and 4e.

I guess the stoner didn't like the crunch because that was too many rules for his damaged mind to remember straight. It's telling that the only edition that 5e outright loses to in his mind is Basic, which is so barebones and short that it is just barely in his attention span's ability to read in one sitting.

One part grift, one part delusion, and one part consoom. The grift is him trying to church it up with the anti-wokes and reaffirm his position for social points. The delusion was picking this matrix shit; it's him low key hinting back at his delusional desire for the Merge to happen so he can run away to Cha'alt as the god he believes he's entitled to be. The closest I can interpret, assuming he was trying to actually pretend to remember what that blog was designed to be (parody of lefties), was the left can't meme. They lack brevity and fail to write concisely.

Darrick is so desperate to CONSOOM and feel that one molecule of seratonin out there that he bought used books without even checking their condition. From what I'm looking at, it's looking like most of them are in decent shape at least barring the cover coming unstuck on most of them, which is about right for very old and cheap paperback printing like this.

So Darrick holding them one handed and lifting them by it was kinda dumb. He's handling them kind of roughly just to get internet points for his collection, especially the ones that are in shaky condition with loose pages and all. All in all, not a bad collection for 20 given how many splats were included, but he's a dummy for handling it that way.

I will note that he had to tentatively give out that I'm Board! banned his books in this one, though it's rather convenient he doesn't mention they banned them because they couldn't move a single fucking copy.

I've noticed that these dudes (Wanker, Pundejo, Grim and a few others) spend a lot of their time reviewing each other's shit. Like a reviewing circle jerk. I think part of that is trying to promote authors who they're friendly and share certain views with. And part of it is because I doubt anyone else sends them review copies. I also see a lot of sycophants "reverse virtue signaling" by buying these "edgy" OSR books and posting pics of them, usually tagging the author (NOTICE ME SEMPAI). So, they have a pretty good little echo chamber going there. And for all their claiming that "wokies don't buy shit", then moving the goalposts (when reminded that a lot of the currently best-selling stuff is "woke") to "well, they may BUY them, but they don't PLAY them", the evidence suggests otherwise.

Fair enough, but in the grand scheme of things, Venger and Pundit don't come near the sales that non-woke LotFP does (or did, befire the Zak S. bizniz), or even ACKS (written by TRUMP WON idiot and former Milo Yiannopolous employee Alexander Macris). But these are games people actually buy to play, not just reverse virtue signal.

Stouffers French Bread pizza is a very solid C+, maybe a B-. Worst thing abotu them is they are kind of expensive. Darrick is in the midwest, so he could just spend an extra $5 and go get a better product from the local pizza place.
