I mean, Chris is technically better off now than he was in years past. He's got a roof over his head that he's no longer financially responsible for, he doesn't have to take care of Barb or the animals (implying he ever did in the first place, but I digress), 3 square meals a day, canteen junk food at his leisure, and weens who will write him letters to keep himself occupied and deposit money into his jail account without any real effort on his part. The only real downside is a complete and utter lack of meaningful stimuli, but in Chris's case? It would arguably be a good thing.
His delusions have definitely worsened in lockup, but let's be honest here: were his delusions prior to arriving in the klink any better? Let's not forget that the Idea Guys and their meddling have made Chris's already tenuous grasp on reality completely snap. Even if he didn't get arrested, he would've still been the same delusional tard. His delusions would've just gone in the other direction.
