Nearly 10 years later and his classic Wii championing Nintenyearold argument still hasn't changed. Still saying people who like FPS games look down on his beloved Mario and 2D games with disdain while having the exact same opinion about FPS, AAA titles. Also has the AUDACITY to whine about how they dislike a game without even playing it when he does that all the time.

He goes on and on whinging that they're elitists and wont give things a chance just because they're on the Wii/Wii U yet becomes a complete hypocrite because he will happily champion ANYTHING as long as it's on a Nintendo platform.

Case in point:
Bayonetta 2 sexualisation and crotch cam? Absolutely fine because it's on a glorious Ninty console
Muramasa's HYPER sexualised vanillaware artwork, perfectly fine because it was on the Wii
MGSV's Quiet, PROBLEMATIC!!!! Because it's gross and sexist…… (Then changed his tune to say we're the prudes, somehow, probably because his lesbo fetish artwork doesn't give him a leg to stand on)
Dragons Crown's HYPER sexualised Vanillaware artwork: gross unrealistic and problematic because it's on Sony platforms and Wu/Anita sed so!

That's literally 90% of all of animation. That's what the job is. It's mostly doing the fiddly thing that lets you do the fun part, that's what it's called work.

Dobs has never had the skill to be a lead animator, an inbetweener, sure but not a lead. Inbetweeners take a lead animator's key frames and fill in the frames between them, the frames that are inbetween what the lead is setting up for pacing. Dobs probably would not want that job either since you need to be on model and do hundreds of drawings a week.

Yes and those people are generally animators who know how to rig for animation. “That stuff” is needed for the rest to happen. “That stuff” is the work that happens so the fun can happen. It's the job part of having a job.

If you gave me a 3-D scene with characters already rigged and modeled and said “animate”. I could do it.”

That is not what low level animators do, they either do the rigging or the inbetweens, you don't get hired and take on lead animation in any company without working your way up the chain. You have to prove you are a competent employee before any sane company is going to through you into a lead role.

It's not fucking petty if it's the backbone of animation and where most animators work. The issue again is Dob's ego. He's too good for a starting position in the field in his mind so he doesn't bother.
