Games media has always tried to motte and bailey Sarkeesian's arguments, pretty much as soon as she came into prominence.
I can't believe that she's even still around. Last I heard, Sweet Baby Inc had stolen her grift and she was hosting a wedding themed birthday party for whatever birthday it was (I think she's well into her 40s now)

I just watched the video, and I got to say, that part made me laugh out loud. At Yahtzee's expense, of course, as I said before he has all the impact of a wet rag these days. Oh, and in his Mewgenics review he does the exact same thing, he calls blumpf a neo nazi within the first 30 seconds of his review. Somehow, this is even more pathetic than his JKR rant in his Hogwarts Legacy review, what a sad little man.
To clarify, I'm only speaking from my own perspective since I was right wing even in High School in the mid 2000's, in a very liberal county no less. Almost all the acquaintances from school, that I have checked in on, are still left wing if not even more so they were teens. Same goes for various gaming forum members I know of back in 2000's.
It's satisfying as shit to take care of your property and it's mentally soothing. Gives you something to do to keep your mind busy, get plenty of sun for your mental/physical health, and keeps your body, such as your glutes, in shape when not sitting on your ass all day in a desk job. And once you get a project done, you gain experience and know how and a major dopamine spike from "I made this" comes with it for making something tangible.

You joke but one thing I have found with some activists is they feel inadequate at supposed gender roles (whether they're expected to live up to them or not) and thus loudly overcompensate in the other direction. And then they wind up pretty lousy at *anything* meaingful in the long run.
