It took him six years to earn a four year degree in a technology that, as somebody who took courses in CADD myself, is essentially just very precise line drawing software where a lot of the actual technical stuff is done for you by the software itself. Nothing he produced as a result of that course was particularly noteworthy in any way and even with a degree he wouldn't have been able to cut it as a profession.

Deep eyes like that are usually a sign of mental retardation. The so called "Down syndrome" or "Downsy eyes". They've always been pronounced, since he was a kid, but they're really showing these days because of how fat his face is getting.
I think it's tied into his broken attention span. If it's stuff he's not interested in, such as making sure people watching his reaction stream can see what he's reacting to (because he doesn't care about those people, really), he won't put in the effort. But if it is something he cares about, then the blinders come on. I recall back during the Sun/Moon Pokemon era where you had the fancy electronic bracelet gizmos that paired with the game for special attacks, Chris somehow figured out a way to make the bracelets do something outside of the pokemon games entirely. It was just flashing lights because that's really all the stupid thing did, but it also was something most people wouldn't bother figuring out.

It's actually due to volume loss around the eyes. Fat loss, aging. Men usually have deep set eyes, but not that extent. His negative canthal tilt also makes him look terrible.
And the thing is Chris didn't always look this bad. If you go by his hs senior photo and even a few years into his early videos. You'd think he's a little younger than he was back them. I legit was there when Chris first made the rounds on youtube in its early days and thought he was a high school senior/ collage freshman making these videos...then again around the same time you had sammyclassicsonic fans immortal rant video and everyone thought then 13 year old Sammy was like 10 or 8 at least.
