I'm sure he's hated here on KF but in general, people seem to like him.
I'm talking about Asmongold, can't stand the fucker.

He acts like this know-it-all because he can predict basic bitch social events but he never goes out anywhere except to the store and as such, all his hot takes in regards to what people are like and how they function is bullshit.
Someone said once that he has the same worldview as an African warlord and that statement kind of makes sense if you listen to his ramblings.

Whenever somebody calls him out in his chat during a livestream and he has no response, he just bans them.
He created this echo chamber where he knows best and he is always correct... and it he isn't, he will make sure that nobody who realizes this can say anything.
I tried to start a convo with his fanboys in comment sections of his videos but the fucker is perpetually online and manually deletes comments whenever he's not streaming.

And also, he's just disgusting.

I don’t know if everyone likes this person, but I had to watch several of her videos to make sure I understand the dynamic properly.

So, she’s a hot girl that married a history geek. And his explanations for stuff are very well thought out, like solid history professor shit, and he’s actually pretty great to listen to, but she asks him shit in a ditzy, “look at me asking dumb history questions to my super-smart husband!”

No lie, I’d listen to the husband because he legit has interesting things to say. But her? I fucking hate her. And I’ll admit, there’s probably a lot of clicks that come from her being hot and her rage baiting him. And yes, he probably wouldn’t be as good at social media as she is because her prompting him is what gets the responses she gets.

It’s infuriating that an actually interesting person has to be bolstered by someone I think is kind of an asshole.

I am one of his OG haters. Decade ago when he was just WoW YouTuber. He was already pretty loathsome fag. Guys I play this game 15-16 hours every day and I have like 200k subs on YouTube and thats why Blizzard should change the game to appeal to me.
Arrogant cunt. Streaming made him even more unlikable, because it surrounded him with dents who kiss his ass constantly.
During Covid era I could not watch single popular video on YouTube without seeing his soyface in recomended, because lord Asmon made low effort reaction to it .
And YouTube algorithm loved to push that crap.

And now this guy is political grifter.
With rest of WoWtubers I just quit WoW and never heard from them again. But Cockroach always show up.

I fucking hate Youtube channels that have common one-word names that make it hard for me to search for. I've mentioned this before, but this applies to channels like Moon, Knight, Horses, Neo, Shaun, Coop, Polyphonic, Modernity, ColdFusion, Brew, or Abstract. These are just the ones off the top of my head. I've seen smaller channels that have really generic one-word names too, but I can't be bothered to mention them. Like, there's a shitty To Catch a Predator reaction channel just called "Walls".

One-word YouTube channel names can be acceptable if they're completely original names, like Nerdrotic, Cadaber, Bandsplaining, Britmonkey, Disturban, Nexpo, Qxir, or Kitboga.

Also, mind you, my disdain for one-word names is not indicative of my opinion on said channel's content; in fact, I subscribe to some of them. I think Neo makes good video documentaries, for example -- it's just a shame the channel has such a shitty name. And likewise, my approval of original one-word named channels is not always an indication of my love or hate for those channels either. For example, I enjoy Qxir and Kitboga, but despise Britmonkey.

I'm quoting myself here to add a rider to this bill. Aside from vague one-word names, I also fucking hate really generic names that make it impossible for me to look into their past or other social media. For example, today I was recommended some generic faceless anti-AI video from a channel called Not General Knowledge. I see all sorts of channels with similar vague names like "Interesting Facts" or "Knowledge Source" (those aren't real channels as far as I remember -- I'm making them up as an example). Hell, there's that British faggot Ordinary Things who's guilty of this as well.

Ben has some of the most genuinely delusional takes on various games, he's a terrible reviewer and the only reason he doesn't get any flack for it is because he's an OG.

For me, the biggest show of his incompetence is any time he reviews a 3d platformer. He always insists that "3d platformers can never work! Platforming can only work in 2d!", though in reality it's clear that Yahtzee just sucks at 3d platformers but is far too stuck up his own ass to admit it.

Oh yeah, it also doesn't help that his humor is rather weak as well. People think he's really edgy because of all the heccin unwholesome slurs, but it's just slightly tangy dressing on a bed of stale iceberg lettuce. Most of the heavy lifting for his humor is done by the visual gags, but even those are just amusing at best. I remember in his videos from the late 2010's, he was heavily reliant on plastering dildos and cum everywhere. OMFG GUYS ISN'T CUM AND DILDO FUNNY!?!?!? No you stupid faggot, it's just gay. You're not South Park and you never will be.

I tried watching his Second Wind channel because I liked Zero Punctuation, and I never thought I'd say this but The Escapist should be applauded for them reigning in Ben's faggotry. Second Wind is just him flexing his redditisms.

I haven't bothered to watch Fully Ramblomatic until just now [I watched the 007 review]. I was not impressed.

I've been watching him since some now deleted HP Lovecraft lore video he made with terrible, unlistenable audio. Basically he's just too dumb, woke and annoying, and the content just wasn't good enough to continue watching.

He was a huge biden shill in 2024, but admitted knowing nothing about the vice president, what she believed or her background at all, when she became the nominee. Person who's reputation and content is dependent on doing in depth thorough research btw.

I tried to ignore it, but on top of that hes just kind of smug and obnoxious in general. He was always a little bit of a reddit "debunking creationists and the bible with science" atheist. And his videos were always poorly edited with obvious audio visual mistakes. But that was fine for a small youtuber.

He's a good example of how not everyone who's super into super intellectual nerdy stuff like archeology, star wars lore, and researching obscure ancient literature is actually intelligent.
