Doesn't he know it's illegal to have pet raccoons in Nova Scotia? Not to mention that a large percentage of all raccoons have brain worms in their shit.

There's also another idiot bringing their over-fed raccoon to a drive-through, or feeding them Cheetos/whip cream/garbage on YouTube for attention. Their commenters are all swooning over the shitty situation these people live in, wishing they had their own raccoon, or praising the raccoon's bad behavior as if it's cute.
They claim to be a 'sanctuary' for raccoons, but based on the comments and videos, this guy and his mom doesn't give a shit if his raccoons get diabetes and die early as long as he can get some attention on the internet by fooling stupid people into thinking he's some good person for taking care of 'rescued' animals.
Tito escaped in January too, it's like it was supposed to be outside or something...

Isn't keeping something wild "inside" the first step to domestication though? Domestication of foxes for the past few decades and have gotten pretty far. I do agree that feeding wild raccoons that you don't even keep inside anything until they're basically a beanbag is not decent treatment though.

Even if you want to domesticate an animal, they don't belong to you even if you want a pet out of it.
The decent moral answer would be no, leave it alone. Wild animals sometimes need help, and certified rescuers are contacted for that.
The 'domesticated' fox that anyone claims to have doesn't represent the entire species.
What do you obtain out of all this anyway? A new animal to piss and shit on your floor and show your buddies?

What are we taking from the animal kingdom if we decide to breed animals until they are "domestic" in house? It's not as if this requires continually taking supply from the wild, that would be counter to it. Do you feel the same about the keeping of reptiles and the breeding of those for color/conditions?

I just generally disagree with owning wild animals that aren't already established "domestic" animals like cats/dogs/etc. There are a lot of people with a mindset that just says "I want a fancy, unique pet because that would be cool." However, when millions of bored humans think the same thing, there's eventually an issue. I agree that you can take an animal in without affecting the entire animal kingdom, but I don't have much faith in humanity to trust anyone to do it right.

Not 100% sure if this belongs here, in fact it probably would fit more in Youtube Commenters, but I stumbled upon this guy in the comments section of a video talking about a woman in Canada who was killed by coyotes. Kept attacking anyone who said that they'd carry a gun with them for safety when hiking.

I've been semi-following this YouTuber named "Fither", a 50k sub channel notable for having been very autistically focused on the Persona series (since branched out into other weebery) and having left YouTube for a while after a minor scandal that I've forgotten the details about (IIRC, was about using an artist's work without attribution).
Anyway, he had this hilarious idea of reviewing hentai doujinshi reviews on his channel, then two weeks ago he pulled them down because WHO COULD HAVE PREDICTED PUTTING HENTAI REVIEWS (EVEN IF THEY ARE CENSORED) ON YOUTUBE WOULD BE STUPID, AMIRITE?
