These annoying youtubers are almost always making content with a large child audience, too, so most of that statistic just comes from the fact that a huge portion of children on youtube either have no account, or are using their parents' account and aren't allowed to mess with their subscriptions, so no matter how many times you tell them to subscribe, they aren't even able to
It's pointless, and all it does is annoy their viewers. Anyone reading this, have you ever actually subscribed to anyone because they kept pestering you to? Yeah, I didn't think so.
In theory begging for subscribers do work and guilting them into subscribing seems to be a more advanced (and cynical) way to get better numbers...
The stuff kids and teens watch. Those streamers are so bad and they plug their stuff like multiple times in their vid. I know enough people who just gave an ipad to their kids and let the algorytmn and soulless youtubers raise them. Now they scream when they play video games because spamming oh my gosh is what the streamers do when playing roblox...

On another note, I'm starting to wonder if the intention YouTube has with constantly coming up with new shitty layouts, is to try and break ad-free third-party apps like Vanced to try and convince the users to come back to the official app, where the ads will start making YouTube money off of them again. I noticed it started to act weird when trying to save things to playlists, for example, after the recent changes to the main site...

At least you can get blockers for this kind of thing now. Sponsorblock added skipping annoyances as a feature at some point. Noticed because Youtube Vanced has it built in now.

What's with this guy and his pedo channel? All of the commenters are children (and/or man-children) praising him for how good his childhood must have been because he opens pokemon cards on camera as an adult today. It's a perfect pool for him to obtain new young "friends."

It's moved to YouTube after the influx of Reddit videos. Now you have people editing their comments to thank people for likes. At least in Reddit there's some kind of karma system but YouTube doesn't even count the amount of likes you get per comment.
