Well, this is the saddest fucking thing I've ever seen on the internet. Now I wanna go home and hug my kid

100% agree. If parents aren't aware of their kid's problems until after the birth, and the kid has such crippling physical and mental disabilities, then there should be the option for parents to have them euthanized. I don't understand why someone would want to fight through constant struggle for X number of years until the kid finally succumbs to their condition, when the kid had such a terrible quality of life anyway. It's bordering on torture.
All right, the kid's less alert, lively and intelligent than the average hamster and the mom's life is effectively over because she has to spend 24 hours a day, 7 days a week feeding and watering her just to keep her in stasis. If the belief that this sad, misshapen wretch she's birthed is somehow inspiring anything in strangers but profound dismay and utter pity at how completely fucked the poor kid is helps her get through the night then whatever, she can have this one. Still doesn't excuse the games of pretty princess dress-me-up and oversharing mommy blog, though.Batshit Mommy Blogger dijo:I look back now & realize all that I would never wish to be... as a mother, a wife, a friend, a person. I love who Claire has made me become. I love how she has united our family and shown us what really matters. I love that she touches people -- total strangers -- without ever having spoken a word.
Every single one of these mommy bloggers sounds exactly the damn same. Hey, everyone, look at my horribly disabled and disturbing blessing from the LORD who I totally love and cherish utterly and absolutely never wish I could just walk away from, and who has totally transfigured my life and made me A BETTER AND MORE LOVING PERSON, because this is absolutely all about how this child has affected me. I would be considerably less suspicious of this woman's motives if she admitted that just sometimes she thought her life sucked and understood that her kid's prospects for having any kind of life were bleaker than a nuclear winter regardless of how many homeopathic supplements and craniosacral therapy sessions she subjects them to, and if she hadn't then gone on to have another beautiful fucking blessing of an utterly screwed-up kid.A Sentient 'Optimistic' Rating dijo:I love that her eyes speak volumes and her expressions convey more than any words ever could. I am in awe of her strength -- oh, her amazing strength! -- it makes me want to be more & support others more & LOVE MORE. I love her determination and her spirit. Guys, my girl is working on standing & supporting herself in a crawling position!!!!! I wasn't sure this was even possible.
Okay, fuck this attention-seeking bitch. Don't think that your doctor's secretary won't file it straight in the trash.Zippy the Pinhead's Mom dijo:I love that my girl took that "1 year maximum prognosis" and basically told those doctors to fuck off. Don't think for one second that my annual "Claire is STILL defying your stupid-ass odds" letter won't be sent to thatdickdoctor today.
oh, those meat-puppets. there's a HUGE thread on them on the lolcow farms. it's 1000+ posts and it's insane. i read through the whole thing. they have 1 normal kid who is likely going to grow up fucked in the head because his two fleshbag sisters are the center of his parents' life. reading the mother's posts is infuriating. she made him write a letter apologizing to her for saying ~the r word~.Alright. Basically, two of these kids have microencephaly. Think Terri Schiavo in terms of brain activity. However, she insists they have personalities and dresses them up in wacky costumes and clothes. The one kid is 15 and is still in baby clothes.
I actually feel really bad for the kids, as they have zero self-awareness.

Of course, you gotta mommy blog about your family.
@Lost_and_Tired
Formally known as Lost and Tired, I'm a single Dad raising Autism Awareness while I'm raising 3 kids with Autism on my own.
Why yes, I believe she did.Did she tape that helmet on his head with packing tape?
Wouldn't go that far. I'd put more stock into detecting the problems early on and trying to find cures so we can stop it from being a problem in the first place.100% agree. How can these kids even hope to integrate well with other kids when every time they do something stupid and humiliating like that, their parents slap it up on the internet?Man, that is so fucked up. How you gonna post vids of your kid sperging out online for everyone to see. These parents are even more sick in the head then their children.
This shit makes my blood boil. Reading through the lolcow.farms thread, i can't believe the mother would exploit these kids for fame. If you were the son in that family, and you knew your own mother was dressing two potatoes up like dolls and giving them the praise of a god, even going as far as to exploit their disorder on the internet for fame, you would definitely question life itself.Alright. I got that feeling too
Oof, bad timing on my partThe people that annoy me are the douchebaggy assholes that don't let the severely autistic person have any privacy and show them in their diapers or naked.

She says "to show what it's like having an adult kid with autism". Because you can't just explain it to get the message across, you have to film it and put it on the internet for everyone to see.Quick question. Aside from just being intrusive and creepy, is there a reason why she filmed her son showering and wearing a diaper?
