Of all time, or just at the moment, and in whatever order you choose. (Also, semi-related, read/see High Fidelity.)

Mine:
1.) Party Doll & Other Favorites: Mary-Chapin Carpenter
2.) Bat Out of Hell II: Meat Loaf
3.) Sail Away: Randy Newman
4.) Cloudburst: Eric Whitacre
5.) Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea: PJ Harvey

1. Ultra Beatdown: DragonForce
2. Inhuman Rampage: DragonForce
3. The Power Within: DragonForce
4. In This Life: Jet Black Stare
5. Queen: Greatest Hits: Queen
...
Yeah, I really like DragonForce.

no particular order (except L7 is always #1)
L7- Bricks Are Heavy
Siouxsie and the Banshees- Juju
X-Ray Spex- Germ Free Adolescents
Adult.- Anxiety Always
Mephiskapheles- God Bless Satan

This list is constantly changing and mostly depends on my mood.
5. Peter Gabriel 2 (Scratch)- Peter Gabriel
4. Billy Breathes- Phish
3. Remain in Light- Talking Heads
2. Close to the Edge- Yes
1. We're Only in it for the Money- The Mothers of Invention

In no order and I decided to list EIGHT just cause
Talk Talk- Laughing Stock
Wu Tang- Enter the 36 Chambers
And So As I Watch You From Afar- And So As I Watch You From Afar
Steve Roach- Arrival
Kendrick Lamar- Good Kid, M.A.A.D City
Pelican- What We All Come To Need
Tetsu Inoue- Ambiant Otaku
Slint- Spiderland

Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
Pat Metheney Group
Talking Heads - More Songs about Buildings and Food
Frank Zappa - Joe's Garage
Khaled - some Arabic title I don't remember
Boom Shaka - Best Defenses
The Philadelphia Metropolitan Orchestra or whatever it's called - Bach, Brandenburg Concertos
John Coltrane - Soultrane

I could go on, but - nah.

Off the top of my head:

1. Roxy & Elsewhere - Frank Zappa & the Mothers
2. Black Yankee Rock - Chocolate Genius Inc.
3. Whatever and Ever, Amen - Ben Folds Five
4. Parade - Prince
5. Paul's Boutique - Beastie Boys

Albums subject to change, save for the Zappa album. That one will always hold the number one spot.

• Press to Play - Paul McCartney (don't hate, I'm a major McCartney fangirl)
•Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge - My Chemical Romance (don't hate, I was an emo fag, this album is all that remains)
• Islands - Ludovico Einaudi (don't hate, I know it's mainly overused television advert sort of classical music but it sounds so pretty)
•The Clash - The Clash
•Scary monsters - David Bowie

Kinda all over the shop genre wise I know, oh and in no particular order, I can't compare them to rank them

Renaissance: Sasha and John Digweed
The Velvet Underground and Nico
The Stone Roses
Vangelis: Antarctica Soundtrack
Metallica: Kill 'Em All

Not in order

-Bodyguard Soundtrack
-Mariah Carey - MusicBox (middle school nostalgia)
-Alanis Morrisette - Jagged Little Pill (ditto)
-Fiona Apple - The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do
-Garbage - Garbage

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon (cliche, I know.)
Queens of the Stone Age's Self Titled album
Telefon Tel Aviv - Fahrenheit Fair Enough
Cursive - Domestica
Nas - Illmatic

Lord knows this changes like all the time but here are my current top 5.

Dr. Dre- The Chronic
The Game- The R.E.D. Album
Wu Tang Clan- Enter the 36 Chambers
Ignite- Our Darkest Days
Blink 182- Dude Ranch

I'm sure tomorrow a week from now it'll be completely different

Brand New - The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me
Boards of Canada - Geogaddi
The Appleseed Cast - Low Level Owl
Right Away! Great Captain - The Eventually Home
Coheed and Cambria - The Second Stage Turbine Blade

Only two of those are constant (Devil and God and Low Level Owl). Everything else is subject to change.

Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
The KLF - Chill Out
Prince - Parade
Kylie Minogue - Impossible Princess
Daft Punk - Discovery

It's been this way for year or two, with only Impossible Princess being added in. Sign 'o the Times could easily be swapped with Parade.

Old thread, but none of these albums were mentioned:

Alan Parsons Project - Tales of Mystery and Imagination
The Church - Priest=Aura
The Cure - Happily Ever After (it's Faith and Seventeen Seconds as one album)
Suede - Coming Up
Final Fantasy 7 soundtrack

Da Pickle Monsta dijo:
Lust in Space--GWAR
Beyond Hell--GWAR
Violence has Arrived--GWAR
I'm amazed/vaguely disappointed that Ragnarok didn't get an honorable mention (:_( As for mine;

Throwing Copper - Live
The Mollusk - Ween
White Pepper - Ween
Quebec - Ween
Shinola - Ween (Yeah. Even Ween's throw-away material is brilliant)

Da Pickle Monsta dijo:
Lust in Space--GWAR
Nostradamus--Judas Priest
Beyond Hell--GWAR
American IV--Johnny Cash
Violence has Arrived--GWAR

I'm a huge Gwar fan!, my top favorite Metal/rock albums are, in no order

1. AntiChrist Superstar- Marilyn Manson
2. Dynasty - Kiss (yeah I know, I picked the disco one.)
3. Lust in Space- Gwar
4. Sehnsucht -Ramnstein
5. Peace Sells- Megadeth

Lupe Fiasco - Food and Liquor (all I would listen to my Freshman year of college. I initially didn't have too many positive experiences in college until I returned a couple years later, but it's this album that kept my sanity intact my freshman year.)
Telefon Tel Aviv - Fahrenheit Fair Enough (no better IDM/Glitch music to get into)
DJ Shadow - Entroducing (showed how old music can be piecemeal into amazing music)
Namco Sound Team - R4 (showed how video game music can be a force to be reckoned with.)
Afterlife - Simplicity Two Thousand (definitive chillout album. The perfect winter time album. It's all I listened to during snow storms and study sessions in the winter.)
