Your Game of the Year 2018

I've only been able to play video games in short spurts this year, so my pick is the Williams Pinball Collections on Pinball FX 3.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance. It's good qualities outshine it's (many) faults and the whole ends up greater than the sum of the parts. And it has one of the best open worlds I've ever played, it's hard to even pin down what makes it feel so compelling. The game has real heart. Also this wasn't a good year in general.

Something something women in Rome going to school.... Gamergate.

This shit is reta.rded and another reason to praise KC: D.

Then what's the best game you've played this year?
I played this dinosaur game that was really good. I absolutely loved it, and cried when the dinosaurs died.

I'm just posting screenshots because I don't want to spoil any of this.
I highly recommend this game it's 100% a 10/10.

FC5 is the worst out of the lot (for obvious reasons).
I was super stoked for Far Cry 5 and although I enjoyed it there were way too many issues. The resistance bar was a good idea but was terribly implemented. The game itself was a lot of fun but it felt like the devs demanded that you stop enjoying yourself and play their missions even if you didn't want to at that time.

Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom

It's the only game this year I've played that I completed to the end without the need to stop and play something else. This year's been uneventful with very few major releases that weren't hot garbage or filled with terrible practices.

havent really played many games that came out this year opposed to games that came out a year or 2 ago or so. really all i can say is i really liked horizon zero dawn and detroit become human is the only david cage game i actually kinda liked

Dead Cells since as far as I remember it's the only game from 2018 that I played.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance. It's good qualities outshine it's (many) faults and the whole ends up greater than the sum of the parts. This, you had to wade through tons of bugs and Euro-Jank at the beginning, but KCD was a really well made game and you could tell that they put a lot of care and love for details into the game.
